Any thoughts on branching out to the 200s, Tacoma’s, and 4Runners?

I have a version for the 90's 4Runners released and there's a 200 version in development right now. See the thread below for 200 version. Once I get the design nailed down I'll launch a separate thread for a sale launch. The newer 4Runner design might be next, but we'll see. I think I need more work on marketing. 'mud is still the vast majority of my sales and for the 4Runner and other models to be successful I need to reach outside this site... I think.

I finally made a real instagram account. I guess social media is like a big deal or something? If you've made a purchase and have Instagram, help me blow up the Toyota/Lexus scene with these!

AMAZON! https://amzn.to/2uL1M0w

For sale on Amazon now. You'll get a better deal through my site directly, but if anyone wants to review the product on Amazon I'd be grateful! I hope to get these "Fulfilled by Amazon" shortly where I ship wholesale quantities to Amazon and they take over the distribution.

@atnolan94 @D'Ecosse @wildtoy @Marc Henry Thanks! Spread the word on Amazon and Instagram!

Just left an amazon review with a picture. It is pending approval. A well-deserved 5-stars.

Thank you! I haven't any traction there yet, but I suspect that'll change once I get it "fulfilled by Amazon" and it looks like a regular, prime item. The reviews are very valuable so I appreciate it!

Time to find room in the budget....

Is it safe to hand wash the internal button mechanism?

The internal button part doesn't appear to be completely waterproof, but it is resistant. I washed mine with a nylon brush (a toothbrush would also work) and some mild all purpose cleaner and a spritz of water. I would try to keep them relatively dry.

Hi Supra,

I know you’re a yota guy but have you ever thought about making a Jeep JK version? My brother has been looking for a replacement for his Jeep ever since he saw the set I got from you. I did a quick search and JK keys seem very similar in construction. The potential market could be huge. Just a thought.

Tried to leave a review via Amazon but they are only accepting verified purchases at this time.

Either way, just ordered my second yesterday. Thumbs up for a bad ass product.

Awesome product..installed today. Hit the back nuts with a quick black spray prior to installing.

That's a great idea! I'm finishing up the 200 series version now, but will consider the JK series for my next round. I'm finding that market penetration is tough not being a part of the "scene". These 100 series keys are shared with many, many more vehicles and I've been unable to break into the much, much larger Lexus crowd. Good tidbit of info either way! Maybe your brother can help me develop it and spread the word if I make one!

Ah, damn. They probably have an algorithm to flag suspect items. I've sold 0 via Amazon and have 4 reviews and counting. At some point I bet they disallow reviews until purchases come in. Thanks for trying!

Looks great!

I just ordered mine the other day. Had I paid attention I would have purchased through Amazon. Next time. I need to make another master at some point...

Looking forward to getting mine.

I get paid Friday may get a second anyways. If I do I will go thru amazon. Hopefully some sales help. Plus I get 5% back with my amazon Visa!!

@suprarx7nut , just ordered. Saw that others have gotten a joke in with the receipt? If so, this is the first purchase for my "new to me 100 series" The truck is for my wife and she is coming from a Volvo V70 station wagon. If you could mention how happy you are that she got rid of that Volvo (and not the husband) I'd be forever grateful.

Travis.

No worries. I net about the same either way, but you'll pay a couple extra bucks via Amazon. It's about a wash with your 5% back. I'm intrigued to see how the Amazon process works on the back end compared to going straight through my site checkout.

Haha, nice. I'll make a note and see if I can catch it before it ships out. I wasn't able to get a joke on the last one that requested, but I should start that when I have some time during order fulfillment.

That's why I'm willing to do it...I can be your guinea pig haha. I will let you know if I'm going to buy one.

I've been working with a variety of materials new to me to expand my capabilities. Among them, I've been using glow in the dark (strontium aluminate) powder and epoxy. I used it on phone cases and such, finding that it was nice to be able to locate devices in the dark. This motivated me to contact Andy about some other possibilities. We were able to collaborate about a custom housing with a modified version of my company logo engraved in the back. I recently received the housing and completed the modifications. I am pleased with the results and I appreciate Andy's efforts to accommodate my unusual request with such reasonable specifics. I am excited to share my results here with a BIG thanks to Andy for his support.

That. Is. Awesome! Very nice work.

I'm tempted to do something similar with glow in the dark material for the HIH8 raffle now.

Very cool and very well done. Thanks for the pictures!

How does the luminescence compare to typical glow in the dark stuff? I wonder if I could use a similar epoxy method to epoxy some tritium capsules into place... Hmm....

Thanks.

Its the best glow in the dark material that I have seen, but I take it from others that it's the best. It is very long lasting luminescence. I can usually recognize it all night long, but my eyes are more sensitive to the light after hours of darkness so it hard to compare how much brightness is lost. I dont have much experience with the tritium or radioactive stuff. This product is not toxic or radioactive. You can find it here in various colors.

This material has held up well on other projects and I have tested it destructively before this project. I think it will be great for this application. It's not the easiest to work with, but I learned several things along the way that helped.

That's a great idea! I'm finishing up the 200 series version..

Looking forward to seeing the 200 key. Can you put that one on Amazon for some reviews?
