I went with 315's for my 40th, and will be doing a 2" or 3" Dobson lift as soon as David gets back from Overland Expo. Because I'm on the stock suspension, I won't be taking it off road for the time being, but once the lift is on, you betcha that'll happen. So for now, here's my how my first 55ish miles on pavement has been.

The guys at Discount said this was the first set they mounted and said they were very easy to balance. Having only driven them around town and on the highway up to 80 mph, I can't argue against that because they don't shake at all. They track true and aren't nearly as lour as I was expecting. They do thrum just a little, but it is completely acceptable considering how aggressive the tread is. A window rolled down an inch is louder than these tires.

I was able to get them around in the rain and hit some standing water at 55ish mph, and the truck didn't even flinch. If I had my eyes and ears closed, I wouldn't even have known I went through a couple inches of standing water.

I don't drive this truck aggressively, so I can't speak of the cornering or braking performance, but there wasn't anything that stood out to me worth mentioning.

I haven't checked the pressure they set them at yet, but it feels pretty high. Let me check and drop them down to about 30 before I comment more on their ride.

Basically, on pavement performance is just fine and is what I would expect from a modern mud tire.

That's all I have for now. As the miles build and I hit the trails, I'll report back. And now, a picture.

Clean the lens on your phone and take some close up shots. I would love to hear a report after you've put some more onroad and offroad miles on them. Thanks!

The lens is as clean as its gonna get. It got some crap on the inside of it and it is what it is. Here's a few shots taken with my female accomplice's phone. I did end up throwing some spacers in above the coils for the time being because it was rubbing a bit, so it's a little taller in these pics than the previous shot.

We headed up some fire roads today with them aired down to 14 pounds, and they are just buttery smooth, even over rough washboard sections. I'm not sure if it's the tire design or just the size, but they're way smoother up that road at the same pressure than the 285s I have on my '95. Still, though... no real off road in yet. I'm looking forward to really getting them out there on the trail.

These are the first set of 35s I've had on any vehicle, and so far, I'm sold on the bigger tire. Even at the elevation we have here in UT and even with the stock gears.

On my truck I’ve got 315 Hankook AT/M’s. I recently drive my buddies LX with these tires and I have to say I was impressed. With how much more aggressive they were, the only difference I could tell was below 15mph they were much louder/felt more. At speed, only slightly if any louder. I like them.

The tires look good - like the product is if the first gen and Toyo MT had a tire together. I suspect you’ll like them in almost all conditions. They even look like they have decent siping for a MT so you’ll have to report back once you have mileage on them for snow performance.

Also curious how noise levels increase with 10k, 25k and 40k miles on the tires.

any updates on this tire? I think its a top contender for me. Ill likely go 285/75/16 though. I really want a M/T but the wet road performance of the BFG's has turned me off. These are siped though so I have high hopes

Your truck looks awesome BTW, which bumper is that?

I run yoko geolanders in a 38x13.5xR17 variety. I will say one thing about the geolanders, rotate them regularily, this is my second set and they are prone to uneven wear, rotating them helps even the wear out.

Monitoring tire pressure vs. tread wear helps as well. If you have more center wear, your too high of a pressure, more outer tread wear, too little. I pretty much ignore the spec'd pressure on the door with oversized tires and go by tread wear.

The tires the OP has look just like the toyo MT's as others have pointed out, if they are rebranded or using the same toyo compounds they should wear better than the geolanders.

I had a set of 37" toyo's, they were good. Not great in winter conditions, but good tread wear and more of a gravel road and decent trail tire.

Any updates ?

I have been running 315's for about 3 months now and their a pretty awesome tire. For the price at Discount Tire I couldn't pass it up.
Snow Run 2019.jpeg

Does anyone have a long term review with more than 55 miles? Like 55,000 miles?
How about different driving conditions: snow, ice, mud, rock, off camber, towing. Road noise after 30k.

Try YouTube. That's where I went.

I’m not in the market for new tires, just bought another set of Cooper ST Maxx after my experience with the previous set. I was able to get over 70,000 miles out of my 37x12.5r17’s with about 3/32” left on them doing 5 tire rotations. I also had the tires balanced and rotated often, every 6-8 weeks (5000 miles).

I was not gentle on these tires. I mainly wheeled these in rock and sand (desert conditions) and on lots of crushed rock roads made from mining tailings usually at around 13-15 psi. Chucking wasn’t a minimum compared to the Yokohama A/T-S and old Cooper STT’s I’ve run in the past.

In full disclosure I did have 2 failures due to sidewall punctures. First failure was due to a sidewall cut on the inside passenger rear tire. When driving home 1200 miles from the point of cut with a fully loaded truck the heat finally caused the tire to fail when less than 15 miles from home. Second failure was driver side rear tire, outer sidewall cut on shale rock.

Both failures were within 2000 miles of each other and with over 70k on the tires. Both times Discount Tire replaced the tire for free. Due to the wear on the tires after the second failure I replaced the other two tires since I’m still full time 4wd.

I’ve driven in snow, mud, ice, been pushed off the freeway into the median at 70mph by an RV towing a boat, driven through the desert at 65+mph, and wheeled some of the hardest trails California had to offer.

I have no regrets running these tires for another term. They have been a pretty quiet tire through their whole life.

Here’s a few reference pics of one of my tires at ~75k

Sorry for the derail. But I have similar good results with STT Pro. I have a set with 50,000 miles. The are DONE but still have some tread. They did develop some cupping and vibration. Are louder than when new. I did a lot of hiway, a few trips to Moab, lots of forestry and mining roads. Lots of sharp shale with ZERO chunking or side wall damage.

I felt they were REALLY shot with some bad vibration a few weeks ago. Then rottated and inflated up to 34 psi. They felt a lot better and I gut got back from a 2000 mile road trip with them. Overall I am happy with the cooper just looking to try something new and hopefully a little quieter.

Mud tires are more prone to cupping due to the lug pattern. My old set of STT’s began cupping after about 30k. But that could have been due to still having my original bushings in all the links.

My post above wasn’t intended as a thread hyjack or to promote a different tire then the OP. I just wanted to show an example of more objective review after using a particular tire.

@Mandrake ... Any updates? Not sure if this guy even is a member here anymore? Bummer.

Anyone else have long term review on this tire?

I've got about 4,000 miles on my 37" G003's. Love them so far.

Quiet (for MT), balanced well. Wheeling been limited to forest road stuff lately. I'll pull them for the winter in favor of a set of studded Duratracs so I won't have a snow review.
