All joking aside... filed up the edges of the in-line Steiger adapter, cut my upper hose and installed. Was walked through heavily by a fav mudder on checking the gauge prior to all the work of installing... (yeah yeah, that would have made far more sense flip flopped). Thankfully it works. Might try it w/ actual boiling water and not just tap hot water that say for a few minutes in the concrete garage floor.
But it definitely works. Measured in the cab for both it and the vac gauge as well. That was my whopping two hours I take while the kid immersed himself in his iPad addiction.

Awkward setup but it appears to be working in some boiled water.

Just kidding... Too fun to resist. I have tons of respect and will be revisiting this thread when it my turn to overhaul. My true love is my 60 and she's good with me so long as I take her to rescue Chevys.

You’re terrible at OCD. Every part is a different color.
It’s a very controlled chaos. You’ve seen my garage. Oughta see my cooking... never had a bf walk away skinny. :)

Ok well hood is going back on in a hour or so... tent has to come down because SNOW is coming tomorrow 1-3” and w/ my luck it’ll be wet and heavy. A couple friends will be here to help hold while I screw. 🤪

Hood attached.
