I've unscrewed the far one (shown in the above picture), but it's not connected to the slide.
The only thing on the top is a small light.
Running my finger and it's all smooth up there. No screw.
Are there any tabs that need to pry open?

Sorry I first thought u were talking about the cup holder, duh. Yeah there are two behind the plastic

I was afraid that I should take the entire plastic off.
How do I do that?

It literally just pops off....gently pry at one corner and it will come off.

Well....no.
There are two more screws behind the useless cubby.
Unscrewing all four bolts and the thing just popped out.
Now everything is back in order and looking great.
The (not so) useless switches plate is feeling very secure now.

I wanted to provide some pics since I ran into the slide still being attached as described in the previous few comments.

The 80 Series Useless Cubby Hex Adapter for RAM hex mounts was development to remove the potential issue of standard Ram ball rotating while driving. Unfortunetely some folks tend to mount the weight of the Ram ball on the loosening side of the screw rather than the tightening side. The problem is by mounting it correctly it sometimes means the position of the accessory is too far away for its intended use. This adapter "traps" the hex of the Ram ball to absolutely prevent any unintended rotation. This requires a specific Ram ball part number: (RAM-B-337U). The specific one used in the photos can be found here on Amazon.

The adapter is ambidextrous so can be spun 180deg if needed. The logo is only etched on one side. If you don't care to stare at the logo simply spin it around. Includes mounting bolts and three low head bolts for mounting one or more Ram ball.

This of course equires the 80 Series Useless Cubby Insert-base to mount to.
