mann.. we need to put up a list of people w/ unfulfilled turbo orders. w/ dates.

I placed 2 orders In May. One for 3 lug nuts and the fire extinguisher mount, and the other one week later for 3 lug nuts.

The 2nd order was placed because I forgot that I ordered lug nuts with order #1 since I had heard nothing.

After I placed the 2nd order, I emailed him at the gmail address where he and I had correspondences in the past explaining that it was a mistake and to remove the lugs from the first order.

After no response for ~2 weeks, I received a shipping label notification from USPS. I immediately emailed him back on that same thread as well as used the “Contact Us” form on his site to send the same message. In that week, I sent 3 messages all without response again.

The next week, I sent one final message with an ultimatum that I would file a chargeback at the end of the week if there was no response.

No response still, so I filed a chargeback for the lug nuts order.

Meanwhile it’s Mid-June, order #1 still had no progress despite his IG saying that orders would go out Memorial Day Weekend. Someone on his IG commented asking if other people’s orders had shipped, so I responded saying that “it’s been 3 weeks past the ship date and I’ve heard nothing so I’ll probably have to have AMEX get my money”

Well that comment was seen! He used the name on my IG to find my order and refund it…except he did his “offline” refunding where he doesn’t give you back the money and he also blocked me on IG. Fair enough, I want nothing to do with him.

Glad this thread is around because I didn’t realize he never gave me back my money until just now (>30D after the email I received for it being refunded).

Seems like a Ponzi scheme but with e-commerce. Hopefully everyone gets what they can before the ballon pops.
 
12/2022 Joey says on the Cruisin2camp podcast his favorite camp meal is a tomahawk steak... that turbo money must've been nice for a bit :flush:
 
You guys who are too late to file chargebacks need to hurry up and go to small claims before he ditches the llc...

Trust me he checks this thread every day he just doesn't care, nobody can help you.
 
Following along here...not because I have any skin in this game currently as in "waiting for parts" (I'm not), but because I do have a fair amount of Wit's End's innovative pieces in my rig since 2015 from the early days of Wit's End getting up and running in SoCal. I always thought that at some point I'd drop the cash for a turbo kit, man it would be so nice to have and it really does look well thought out and a solid kit, but I have never been in the habit of paying for anything that is not available nor shipping nor completed nor fully researched. But this carrot dangled with such temptation. I feel for all of you guys that put money down and are waiting, with zero communication - that would drive me insane.

I've had great conversations with Joey over the years, and yes, the occasional order would get mixed up or delayed, but I never got skunked. I suppose I fall into that category of not minding waiting for something cool and innovative (as long as it's not crucial to the running of the rig). I do hope he can make good on all of his orders, and I certainly hope he and his family can navigate all the health and life issues they're tackling, but from the threads I've been reading the business side of it seems to be a sinking ship...and to the point that I now grimace a bit when I jump into the truck and see the Wit's End logo on the FEM. Alongside other logos like Slee, 4x4 Labs, Delta, Zuk, Wagongear, and others from here in the mud community - all stand-up guys I'm proud to display and recommend. No matter where I go, there ends up being a conversation about the rig.

So how to answer the "What's up with the Wit's End stuff?" questions?

Regardless of how upside down life is, if you can't stay loyal and committed to your clients and customers and treat them with respect, well, then it's time to hang it up.

Since he probably does check it, it’s in the best interest of those unable to recover via chargebacks to start a private communication channel to organize their efforts.

All you guys that never spoke up, just let others get ripped off and even worse defended the guy...

Learn from this, it's not the first time it has happened on this forum. If you buy something you should expect to receive it when promised at the least, stop being a fanboy it's the reason why some vendors get away with this garbage.

I think @cahill @landcruising @Lo2aY @TheLCProject should be some of the first people to offer up refunds to the turbo guys out of their own hard earned cash. I mean they were vouching for Wits like he was the pope so they might as well give up their hard earned cash since I’m sure they can just get that money back from Wits?? Never mind the fake refunds, zero communication, and the ponzi scheme turbo program. He’s a stand up guy that makes the most innovative cruiser widgets doing the community a service!

While I understand you’re upset and think you/we are in the right, this thread is not for talking s*** on each other because of a bad experience with Wits’ End.

I agree to a certain extent but at this point how many more buyer beware posts are needed. Its 100 percent clear this guy is scamming people.

Part of the reason why a lot of people are in this predicament is exactly because of the people on this forum moderators included. I’ve seen them like posts after Wits put down someone complaining about an issue. The first time I posted asking nicely about how I could get some help getting ahold of this clown I was attacked right away. I was still attacked after I caught him in a shady lie by people on this forum. I’m sorry but his fan boys are almost as much to blame. The minute anyone posted anything negative about Wits they would jump on those people and probably have suppressed a lot of negative feedback from people because they were afraid of getting attacked. I’ve never been on a forum with members like that. He smartly used that to his advantage so he could provide s*** service and have his groupies defend him.

Now that the truth has finally come out @plutonius was the only one with the actual balls to come out and say he was a supporter but now can’t even stand wits products on his rig. You would think any rational person would feel the same.

(My experience) is very different than yours. And I can only speak of my experience.

Being that Joey is a long-term enthusiast and a small business owner. I wouldn't expect him to not support his fellow Cruiser owners/customers. He is well documented on this site and have had a good reputation with quality of products and solutions.

I don't fanboy anything. Including the Land Cruiser that brings me to this site.

Instead of complaining on the site where you know, you are not getting anywhere. Seek your refund through official channels.

(My Experience) has been great. AND I will continue to order parts from him. Even though I don't know him and we never spoke. Because I've had a great expereince throughout my 20+ orders.

I'm sorry your having trouble. I really wish your issue will be resolved and that Joey can support his customers better everyday. I hope he can continue to innovate and bring more quality products to the table.

You are part of the problem. Please stop. You whole post tells me you have no ****ing clue on what is going on.

I noticed people like you would actively voice their support for Wits End when a customer posted their poor experience with the company. It caused a situation where people were hesitant to post on this forum about their poor experiences with Wits End. And then in the end, it cause this issue to go on for way longer than it should have.
 
Wow, I've ordered from him before and had to wait quite some time but not like some of you guys and for that amount of $.

My last order was a rearview mirror mount that was delayed numerous times and when it got here the screw holes were milled misaligned. I didn't even bother to return it, I'm just dealing with it. Poor QC but whatever you'd think for the price they'd be better.

He was posting quite a bit but between the two of them their politics was the final straw for me, not sure why people feel that need when they own a business. Good Luck to all, hope you all find resolution.

I don't really have a lot of skin in this game. I've placed two orders with him. One was delivered and one was refunded, after I emailed him repeatedly. I have noticed a lot of his supporters have abandoned ship though. I guess having four out of the top five threads in the bad sellers forum be about him will do that.

This was my view for MY EXPEREINCE. I'm not changing MY EXPEREINCE because you say you are having issues. I have no idea what is going on between you and Joey. It's non of my business. I was tagged as a fanboy for Wits end and I'm sticking to MY REVIEW and EXPEREINCE with him.

If you or anyone else is having any issue with any vendor. A FORUM WILL NOT HELP YOU GET YOUR MONEY BACK.

With that being said. I wish that your issues are resolved. I really do. At the same time, please keep me out of it. I have a different experience than yours.

Sorry you got burned and sorry others are getting burned. But directing your anger at people that are just pointing out and sharing our experiences is not going to get your money back. I consider myself lucky that I got products that others do not have, and have just pointed it out. His write ups and comments have helped me numerous times as a contributer to the forum. Sucks it going this way, but it's happened several times in the past with other enthusiast vendors. Glad it's getting pointed out to protect others, but direct your ilk elsewhere, maybe seek an attorney or small claims. Stop bitching and start a revolution.
