The people using their own “positive” experience to try and deny the validity of the claims against Joey should absolutely be shouted down and should not be surprised by that.

And now you’re the one calling people hypocrites and making claims of myself and others lowering ourselves on the internet for taking a stand against a vendor who is running a Ponzi scheme and those that support him? I would venture to say those that have defended Joey and are attacking the victims have lowered themselves MUCH further.

If you’re not aware of the many previous threads on here where supporters of Joey have relentlessly tried to bury his critics then you just need to stop commenting here.

I mean no one is accusing you of being a mature adult.
 
So pretty much let's let people keep being scammed because some guy two years ago had his $30 order actually delivered and he had a phone conversation with joeys wife's brothers ex girlfriends mom and they were nice...

There is literally nothing you or anyone here can do about that from here. I get that people feel better pumping their chest on the internet but none of them are gaining any respect or support for it. Change your attitude and you may get support. I don’t have a dog in the fight but from my outside view, some of y’all are jerks and that’s equally hard to get behind.. If anything it’s a disservice to this post and credibility.

I have personally never provided a side and I have deliberately not disclosed my experience despite being added to this thread.

Anyways I’m out, y’all can continue the circle jerk while everyone else stops caring.

Joey has literally stolen tens of thousands of dollars from the Land Cruiser community. Those same folks have faced a ton of back lash just for bringing it up and now you’re calling it a circle jerk?

It seems pretty obvious that you have chosen a side by standing up for those who support Joey despite him being a liar and a thief and are effectively one of his fan boys. You and others on this forum are partially to blame for Joey getting away this kind of stuff.

I placed a small order on July 3 and have not received anything. A couple status checks have gone unanswered.

What sucks is I bought the "keychain model 03" for EGR delete on my FJ62. Anyone know similar product from another vendor?

We are using one of the tlcperformance desmog kits on our 3FE and it works quite well, plus less costly.
 
Haha come on dude how would that possibly be enforced on any level? Besides even that none of this is the fault of mud, mud provides a venue that's it....the rest is up to us and a lot of guys failed each other around here.

No...I didn't speak in regards to that, what I said was how the hell would mud possibly enforce what I quoted:

"It’s a great argument that vendors shouldn’t be allowed to sell on Mud unless they have stock in hand"
 
That seems to be common sense though, something far too lacking these days, stop talking so foolish. Unfortunately, this is the society of instant gratification and with that people don't want to see something out of stock. So... FOMO causes a lot of buying on impulse and really unfortunately there are companies that use that to their advantage. IG cred bro!

I know someone that did get their turbo kit although it has been a few years now. You guys that haven't need to organize and actually get numbers and fight for resolution. NO company or person should ever badmouth a customer when the customer hasn't received items ordered YEARS AGO. These guys have every right to complain every where they can. Is this any different than what PelfreyBuilt did? I hope you guys get your money back.

The thing is this is nothing new, can't use the pandemic as an excuse at this point and you couldn't use it before the middle of 2020. I have had a few orders with him in the past and ran into the same issues on every order even well before the c19. And every time I found it ironic the name of his company and how I felt about dealing with him. His issue is he sells products he doesn't have and has no control over.
 
I'm creating a new post following a lengthy discussion in the turbo owners thread about various issues in communication and delivery of turbo kits. Personally, in spite of all of the challenges I would still prefer to have the turbo and I'm happy to wait. I love Joey's gear. However, given what appears to be growing evidence of fraud I have little hope of receiving it.

@NLXTACY - I'm twenty-three months in without communication about a $6,000 item that was promised within a year. There appears to be six-to-ten others just on turbo orders alone, likely more though. Like others, a basic status update and estimate of delivery - two sentences tops (which noting your social media habits should not be an issue) - and I would be fine. I'm happy to be patient. I suspect others would be as well. But your approach is unprofessional and surprising given the amount of money we're talking about here and the longstanding loyalty of the customers that you're subjecting to this nonsense. "I get to choose who I want to have as a customer". and all of your variations of that do not apply here. You've already chosen and have failed. It's time to deliver on your commitment.

Many of your other projects and orders ship, you provide updates enthusiastically, you develop countless new products and custom projects, and your personal and market supply chain issues don't appear to effect those. The lack of communication is the absolute worst thing here and leads me to assume the worst.

Assuming you ignore this like all of the other attempts to reasonably communicate, I will continue my efforts with the BBB (Case #20245438), FTC Fraud Department (Case #161368493) and the Oregon attorney general's office and will solicit support from other customers with issues to bolster the cases. If you are not aware, with my order alone, you are blatantly violating federal consumer protection laws with significant liability.

I think it's import to collect all of these issues in one spot to prevent problems like this in the future for others. Plenty customers have made large purchase decisions based on the previously deserved but now misguided enthusiastic support of Wit's End.

For those continued supporters of Wit's End, please review these threads. He uses victimhood to garner support and distract from his many notable business failures (acknowledging some legitimate issues that while sympathetic, many business owners deal with and successfully navigate equivalents, including myself). I have been a rabid supporter of Wit's End and Joey for seven years, spent countless thousands of dollars, promoted the company, and even offered to buy him a f***ing building to solve his supposed real estate issue (that amounted to his own carelessness then blamed on his landlord). I'm disappointed I didn't notice all of this sooner but as best I can tell now, no other vendor has had as many serious complaints here that are cleverly dismissed. Regardless, in my opinion, what's occurring is not excusable for a prominent business owner and member of this community.

Happy to update this with other people that have issues or other locations documenting problems. I'm hoping the community can come together to create accountability.

I can also be added to this list. I paid $6000 in September 2022 and haven’t gotten any responses either unfortunately.

I'm curious, this wasn't even a year ago....did you have any warning at all as to what was going on? Because even in 2022 guys had been waiting years at that point right?

and I’ve heard was still reaching out to folks as of a few weeks ago.
