What have you done for winterization of your 40 in order to drive it during winter?

For us idiots who DD or drive around during the cold weather :)

Here are a few things I do (#1-8) (lived in upper north east my whole life as well as upper north western kingdom VT , grand isle -20 regularly)

I will add others ideas as we go…

1) dual batteries
2) Incab block warmer
3) block off air gaps
4) restrict air flow thru fan
Such as cardboard @Pighead
5) fj60 door weatherstripping around hood
6) hood vents blocked off
7a) Air heat riser and block off for the weber air cleaner
7b) Fluid heat riser
8) appropriate oil weight/viscosity
9) hardtop if ya got it @devo
10) beanie and warm gloves @rkymtnflyfisher
11) floor mat insulation possibly @rkymtnflyfisher
12) Fluid Film @rkymtnflyfisher
Or oil under coating

I started putting cardboard in front of my radiator this year, only the top half.

The firewall I sealed off a few years ago.

Aside from that, I just add a layer during the winter. I keep a beanie and warm gloves in it year round.

I've been kicking around the idea of building a floor mat insulation system of sorts to help insulate the cab. Something removable.
