Picked up a used passenger side battery tray. Needed to move the washer jug.
FHA30 Simpson hold down strap $3.91
Two bolts, a dash of paint, etc $0.25ish

The strap is just soft enough to bend, but tough enough for the job. Patent pending....

.

Very nice mod for a very nice price.
Is there any reason to do this if you are not planning on adding a second battery? Just curious.

I am planning on adding another battery but I've seen others buy the battery box, move the washer fluid, and use the area to hold a tool kit, oil, antifreeze, etc.

Making more room for my turbo setup :D

The factory washer tank is smallish compared to the one Slee supplied with ours. Still, when filled, it's a bit of weight. I like the looks of George's homebrew better. Not saying you'll have issues here, but I would keep an eye on things until it's been flogged enough offroad to confirm the softish strap is sufficient.

For the money, I think just getting TWO of the straps and doubling it up should give you reassurance all will be well longterm.

Great way to make extra room for the tank on a water/meth injector system.

Sorry wrong post
