Hi..
New FJ40 owner..
I'm building up a 1967 FJ40 for family getaways.. As much as I'd like to source all new rust free parts.. money wont permit.. and whilst I can weld, I'm entirely unsure of how this would be approached..
Therefore.. I'm looking for the best way of stopping what rust there is my windscreen frame from progressing too much further.. here's what it looks like now:
I'm planning to hit it with a wirewheel on an angle grinder.. soak in muriatic acid, neutralise, then paint with POR15..
Is there a better approach for stopping what rust there is from progressing further?
With thanks,
