I spoke with Warn today about this and a lengthy conversation at that. Basically it'll work per Warn, you just have to make sure that the rope will fit the hole in the drum where it fastens (same diameter as the wire cable is needed). Warn rep said they'll probably come out with a Zeon 12 synth but haven't yet and have not specified a rope to pair with that system. I to looked at the Amsteel synth rope and its about $300 +/- for a 100' x 3/8's. load rating on that rope is 17,600lbs. My concern is I'd want to know at what point (load rating) is the rope going to break / fail (being the cheaper part) before the motor gives up and dies - once that is known then that would be a good combo. it'd suck to have a working rope and a burnt up winch - ha

I like the safety factor of a synthetic rope as well.

I'm not sure about the warn but on my TJM the rope had a fastner crimped on then bolted on the drum. The fastner is just to hold the rope in place and you can actually pull it off the drum by hand. As long as there are 4 or 5+ wraps on the drum should be good to go. Regarding burning out the winch, you can always winch in 5 second intervals and give a 1-2 second break in between to not overload the winch, also if you hear it struggling/getting louder while pulling speed is decreasing on a continous pullyou might need to back off. Hope the techs or sales reps at warn can give some decent feedback on this it would be interesting to know

Starting blank slate with a 12k winch I think minimum you'd want is 7/16ths or ~21k lbs at just under the 2:1 rating? 1/2" is probably technically correct but could you get 75-80ft on their drum?

The 3/8" on the tjm 15k is undersized.

If the winch gives out you always have your 3 tonne http://www.wyeth-scott.com/orders.asp :D ..or hi-lift?

Heck, if your winch goes out, just use the hi-lift

Nope, can't say that thought even entered my process. It's cool to see how far winches have progressed. What did you do, steal that thing from the Smithsonian

A more current version arrived today.

Will the Warn Zeon 12S Platinum fit in the ARB Deluxe on a 2013 LC??

It should. The 12S Platinum is the same physical size as the 10S Platinum.

Not sure about the fitment on or in an ARB bumper. I was able to fit the warn zeon 12 inside the TJM T13, solenoid and all. Just jad to modify the radiator support bracket a wee bit. All good

I've got the ComeUp.
