to me having rear disc brakes in a SF it's just cheap ( or not that cheap ? ) insurance against this .. broken SF shaft failure .

being from a relatively snow free zone I never even saw this one coming. Long distance logging road; the tunnel effect of the trail in dense woods packed this thing full.....................till 3tones of cruiser hit and the displacement was rather sudden
fun part was crawling out the window since all 4 doors were blocked, then came the digging out with a disc golf disc
125' out, snatch block, Locked up, and on the rev limiter (first time id ever heard that one) and BARELY got out
post delima thoughts:
+Glad it was 125' of cable cause any less wouldnt have reached squat (carry an extension)
+a warn8000 is barely (and in my eyes not) adequate for a stuck 80. even with a snatch block
+maybe 40's are the way to go, they sure do look good on Lorena above and 37s werent cuttin it.
+go prepared and dont wheel alone

Looks like that hurricane brought some crazy weather to North Carolina 
When 37's and an M8000 can't get you out may as well pack some snow shoes and walk out of there, that kind of situation scares me and makes me not want to go winter wheeling.

hahahahah i was in such shock, i didnt even think to take a pic of the rock. i was coming down a steep hill, and couldnt see the other side. when i did i had the brakes slammed, but kept sliding down the gravel. it was prolly about 800 lbs. some a$$hole or whole A$$ put it there to block that trail. gues they got me pretty good. oh well i should thank them, cause now im gonna get an ARB sooner than i expected.
