Sir Hamblett,,,, you have in your rig a late H42 and split transfer case. you cannot put the 3 speed case on the tranny in an easy or $$ sensible way. i would get the linkage fixed however that might need be done as the setup you have right now is good. as far as the e-brake, you have a few options, one, dont do anything. i havent gotten my brake done since the doubler and i dont miss it. another option is to buy the kit from MAF to put the park brake on the split case, eh, its ok. the better option would be to aquire everything from the backing plates out from an FJ60 and retro it to your axle, holes are not the same but thats easy to deal with and everything will bolt right on after that, then you can get a cable made to attach to the original 55 arm on the firewall or use all the 60 parts.

Going disk brakes in the future? How about eldorado calipers with a built in parking brake (this is my eventual plan).

Either that or instead of swapping just the drum brakes, swap in either a whole late model FJ40 housing or even better, an FJ60 housing. The wider 3" won't be noticeable outside of the wheelwells, adds stability, and would upgrade your brakes to a kind that is less maintaince than stock.
