I would love to get one of these bumpers. Will it fit an 8274?

Recessed would look pretty cool similar to what brute force does. I have no idea what lights would work best though.

I will do an 8274 version next.

I chose the lights just based on reviews like you tube and such. I do know they're brighter than the inexpensive Amazon/Ebay flush mounts.
The squadrons have two price points. The brightest is obviously the more expensive.

I'm super happy with the Rigid lights. Not cheapo, but not obnoxiously expensive.

Stupid bright.

I put two of the square diffused lights in the rear bumper, but haven't gotten around to wiring them up yet.

Seems like the big disadvantage is they can't be aimed if flush mounted.
I think the flush mounts are usually intended as fog lamps. Living my whole life in Az, I'm not sure what fog is so i have to imagine. For a driving light, the bigger the reflector, the better. I have 6" and 9" for driving off road. It's hard to over drive a good 6", even harder to over drive a 9" light. Three to 4" lights are good for crawling around or if you're in a convoy and you want a bit more vieion without pissing off the guy in front of you.

EXTREMELY hard to beat Rigid.....Baja Designs is a close runner up. In the world of lighting, you get EXACTLY what you pay for.

Rigid is an AZ company so I do like using Rigid. We have placed those same flush mounts in a factory style channel, about the same spread. Later, I was looking at ways to move them in, as the wing position is more vulnerable when crawling around in AZ boulder trails. We're hoping, by extending the D-ring mounts alongside and
in front of the lights, we get even a little more protection.

For backups,I don't see the need for top priced brands. The Amazon generics are as bright or brighter than a stock headlight so you have 1000% more visibility in reverse
with any of the flush mounts or small pod lights in the 20.00 range. We've been placing an Ebay 6" oval light in the rear 60 bumpers that go for 25ish a pair and
the brightness is more than I could need even with my 64 year old eyes after 40 years of welding

Both seem to have their fan base so I assume they're similar quality. I have trouble deciding which is brighter since there are slight differences in
their designs. Not like apples and oranges, more like Granny Smith and Pippin apples. They don't make exact models to compare fairly. The D series Rigid
and Squadron Pro are similar size but it's not an exact comparison since the Squadron is 41 watts and the D is 30 watts. The Squadron Sport is closer , also at 30 watts.
The Rigid is a little easier to mount in the factory width channel as the top to bottom hole spread is a little tighter
