Howdy boys. Before I go and try to decode the colors of these wires in my diagram at home I was wondering if anyone knows off the cuff which wire is which. This is a strange alternator. Well it is to me. This is on an imported 1982 FJ43.

Is there any marking by the spade terminal F or E? It looks like the heavy big wire is on the B terminal which would be correct.

Thanks. No markings on smaller connectors. I reviewed the diagram and the wire colors are wrong. It must’ve been required sometime. I’m going to pull the gauge cluster and see which wire is the ammeter.

Sometimes the length of the wire will tell you were it goes. It looks like the blue is longer and red is shorter which might indicate the blue goes on top and the red the bottom spade connector.
