Choke cable came today. I got it installed. I will say that is one of the easiest jobs so far!
Also refilled the coolant and went for a drive. Drove 6-7 miles and got it up to temp. When I got back I saw zero leaks.
Hope it stays that way! We will see tomorrow when I drive it to work. That will be a 32 mile round trip.

Took a few glamour shots while it was out.

Had a fun day with the Cruiser. My buddy with an 80 called me up. His Wife and kids were gone for the day and he was doing a coolant flush, so I rolled over and we hung out for a few hours and talked truck.

Later I went to the grocery store. When I came out, she looked so… good!

Back home and parked for the night, I snapped this through my Japanese Maple.

I'd love to come meet up with you guys sometime!

Next big ONSC event is in September. We've got some members out on the OBX for a trip right now and there are a couple of smaller trips in the middle. Come check out our clubhouse section!

Got my Aussie grab bar in the mail yesterday! It is going to need painting and a new leather pad. It did come with the rubber pads though. Should be a fun project. :)

Had a good weekend with the cruiser. Went to the park for my son's birthday, then up to the mountains for a sunday hike.

Started on my Aussie grab bar restoration today.
Cut off the old leather and got it sanded down.

Had the guy at the paint store try and custom color match my dash paint.

First coat with airbrush

Moved it to a vertical location for the second coat. Sanded with 600 between coats

Screws

Here is the result so far.

paint match is OK, think it is a little on the more green side
where it should have been more tannish. Have to let it dry good and see. Also he put a flattener in it, may be too flat.
Again, we'll see. It looks good regardless even if it is a shade off. The leather should help break it up. Speaking of leather…
My wife is graciously donating an old purse to the cause. She said it was a really nice purse, and some people would die
if they saw me hack it up. Only the best for the Cruiser I guess. :) It is nice and soft.
Look at the length, just right! I'll get on that part another day.

Joined our local chapter -ONSC last week!

Headed off to our cabin in the mountains for Memorial day weekend.

Still playing with timing even on the road. Had to explain in detail to the wife and kids what timing was and what I was pulling over for. Think I bored them to death.

We made it even though timing is still… not quite right.

The family's view from the porch

My view from the porch :)

Spotted a rare 2F motor spider!

Eye candy!

Even utilized the Cruiser for some relaxing hammock time with my buddy, Garcia!

15.1 MPG to the mountains and back!!
Great weekend!

Found this Texas keychain in the glovebox when I bought the truck. Re-found it again while vacuuming the truck over the weekend. Now it hangs as a memorial for it's past life in Texas and to honor the state that kept her rust free! :)

Think I FINALLY got my timing set right. I can say this… I am real good at pulling a distributor now!

Went up to the family's farm in VA over the weekend. Had fun taking Cruiser pics.
