I drive my 80 quite often, say 500-600 miles a month. It’s think it’s the perfect vehicle other than mpg. Everyone’s always saying how slow their 80s are which I don’t really agree with. They’re obviously not fast but how fast are y’all trying to go?? I’ve desired passing power and maybe some more grunt on steep hills but for the most part I can accelerate/cruise just as i need without really wringing it out. I split the rest of my driving time between a Subaru Outback 3.6 and some seasonal summer cars, all of which are faster than the 80 but the performance of the 1fz feels just right for the platform. I’m also a speed limit guy maybe straying +/-5mph. Im on 33s, a 2.5in lift and stock gearing. But I would LOVE to LS swap eventually.

DD, which is kinda foreign to me these days as I'm still wfh, 2008 Audi S4 Avant.

Honestly, I've been trying hard to take my ebike more and more and I've settled into a routine of gym, coffee, grabbing lunch, type trips on my ebike.

Also if you want a recommendation, to me the "80 series" version of an ebike is the Ariel Rider D Class or Grizzly. They are all wheel drive monsters that easily go over 30mph with my 233lb fat ass and tear through sand and dirt. They are also real bikes that are not geometrically weird feeling to pedal. I could go on but this isn't a bike forum

To be fair though, I’ve never driven the 97’. That biotch is sitting in storage waiting for me to get in her for a good wring-out session (sts).

I use to have a larger fleet, but with kids and work you gotta pick and choose.

Swagger wagon, funny enough was purchased of eBay for cheap and has gone cross country and been basically trouble free for 5+ years. Love it!

i have a 2008 Ford BF wagon as the runaround / get me to work car.
Very reliable & simple car to maintain.
Every time I get in the 80 it puts in perspective the build quality difference even though the 80 is 13 years older

91 Lexus LS 400 that I bought in 93 with 20K on it (now it has close to 300K) or 2007 LX 470.
