Great J....so NOW you want to make this standard!

Guess I'd better grind off the Monstaliner from my mounting plate and order up some studs from @beno to do the job right. LOL!

That's smart.
Kaymar does that. It's nice to know you have a few extra lug nuts in case you bugger up or lose any.

I originally supplied bolts with the plates. Then customers asked for a variety of fasteners due to PC wheels, aluminum, OE chrome, painted etc... So I stopped supplying them and told the customers they needed to source them. But, the more I think on it, the more it bothers me that I don't supply a full hardware kit with the bumpers. I will start to supply them and make them press in. If the customer wants to remove OE grade fasteners to attach their spare.. It will be on them, I gave them the best choice available IMO..

J

I was just ball busting J. In your defense, you provided all the hardware needed to mount up the spare on any wheel I might have had. Top notch stuff...as usual.

Thread hijack over!

Some good progress today:

That bumper looks great! I love the Duplicolor engine enamel. I need to do my wiper arms with that stuff. I think they get hotter than the engine in Texas summer.

Just curious here... What made you go with a center mounted tire carrier? (I like hearing all sides of this, punny I know)

That bumper looks awesome, Beno. Nice lines and very beefy, just like the FJ60.

Thanks Tom. Notice the SYF on the rear?

;)
But of course. Right where it belongs. Adds a nice touch to the rear.

Thanks Johnny. I am busting my butt to try to get up for the Meet and Greet and bring the 60.

:)

I heard!! Here's to hoping you get her finished up

If you were closer, I'd offer to come over and lend a hand.

He really is Busting His Butt, no picture of the Bag that the Headlight Housing came in or the hardware! In his defense, it is not Engine/Trans/Transfer related! Start up is weighing heavily on his mind now, crunch time!
The yellow inserts that mount the headlight/turn signal surround, they available still?
Great thread, I'm sure taking pics. and posting takes a bunch of time.
I have a Oct. '85 60 too and a '83.

Look back maybe 10 pages and you will see all of the headlight parts in their bags with part numbers.

:)

Onur, I think they're NLA...but wanted to see if I could still find some front and rear lights for my FJ60. pulled the fronts off over the weekend when I was getting ready to install the new headlights and realized that the gaskets are done.

Rear tail light gaskets are discontinued. I have some in my personal stash and they might be available from someone like David Stedman or from amayma.com

Front combo light gaskets are still available:

i was actually thinking of going the Shane route (crazy I know)...and just buying new lights if they're still available. Not the most economical way to do things...but if still around like the idea of having brand new lights on the rig.....everything else on the exteriors been replaced, so why the eff not.
