Summary: be prepared for changing directions. I searched for almost two years for a mostly original pig that was in good shape and was in running condition. I found one. Started down the path of getting it mechanically sound, all fluids changed, minor fixes, and some new frame mounts. Essentially a minor restoration. Then the 1F engine overheated and the compression test told a sad tale. Now I threw all caution to the wind and the money along with it. I am in full blown resto mod mode now. A completely different direction from my original intentions.
