Yea, I'm trying to figure out how to do that. I was looking at the before pics last night and I've been working on this so long that I forgot how bad it was before I started. Felt so good about the results I grabbed a beer out of the frig to celebrate.

A cold one after a challenging job is one of life's best rewards!!!! @Rustic76 Kids know what is cool don't they??? Super nice truck and great pic.............

It's a beautiful day today at PNW, so I attached my trusty trailer to the 40 and went lumber shopping! I smiled the entire trip!:bounce2::bounce:All the cruiser sounds were music to my ears!

Pulled the odometer out and cleaned everything up. Removed the little helmet looking light shields. Odometer was stuck at 999. The light mod worked great, can actually see the gauges now. Thanks to you guys for posting these mods in the past.View attachment 1257547

I am not ready to do this yet but how do you go about cleaning the number wheel? Thanks

I just dropped it into a bowl of mean green and let it sit for s couple hours. Blew it off and sprayed with a electrical lube. Worked it in really good then wiped off the excess.

On a whim, daBoise and I took a drive up to Beatty, NV (200 miles round trip) to check out sorage containers at the military surplus place. I visited with "Keith" for quite a while... a super nice guy!!

But, I was looking for specific Hardigg boxes or medium sized Medical Storage boxes. Keith had one huge Hardigg box and a couple of large medical boxes... and a ton of various sized ammo cases!!

Anyway, it was a very nice drive and daBoise and I stopped by Big Dune on the way back.

We also stumbled onto a drone doing touch-and-goes at Creech AFB

Always got to watch out for those predators in the desert

Continued from post# 10972, above.

We drove back to the DNWR and drove about halfway up Morman Well Road and spent the night in 44... the next mornng, we drove the remainder of Morman Well and then drove the full road the other way, before returning home this afternoon.

We saw two Golden Eagles this time (the second one is a little blurry because I've zoomed in the maximum).

Cracked my tub on the way home from work the other day - bad spring bushings , unknown spring packs (read-nearly solid), bad body mounts and a road that can destroy semi truck frames . Saw the dual-lump bump just before hitting it at 60mph - if that guardrail hadn't been there I'd have dove for the ditch and probably done less damage . Center beam support in the tub is rusted really badly and the tub gave just ahead of it at the end of the rocker panel . Not going to be an easy or quick repair , it's just short of terminal illness now...
The old bugger has to sit for awhile now , driving the pickup instead , ugh .
