I had a couple MOLLE panels from a Paraclete plate carrier that were not being used so I adapted them to the seat backs. I basically riveted the MOLLE panels to the tin panels and attached various pouches I had laying around. They may look a little silly, but they're pretty useful!

Nothing silly there! Looks serious to me! I like it!!

Installed overhead console, wired it for power and sound, installed two 3 way Kenwood speakers rated @ 220Watts RMS each.

This week... Not as much as the previous week. Only removed driveshafts, removed transfer case, removed transmission, removed engine and got it onto a stand, removed all of the motor and trans mounts from the frame. Oh yeah, one more thing, picked up an LY5 & 6L80E. Let the transplanting begin.

Modified my Harbor Freight receiver hitch basket to fit between my tail lights. Basically cut a few inches out of the middle and welded it back up. Good practice on my welding and grinding skills, or lack of. :hillbilly:

leland, great way to have a sidearm on board. I like!!!!!

Like you rear steps, good buying, will be looking for a set myself soon. Just bought some shackles to fit to my FJ40, they are not greaseable, but as I have a lathe will put a small hole up them, cross drill and add a grease nipple. Bought a rear cab and ambulance doors have some hardware missing, so hope to find a thread with some pictures so I can get a good view of the top and bottom catches, and how the external handle and lock fits.
Sides will need a bit of patching, but I do not think that is going to be a big problem as it is on the flat part of the panels,

Replaced my transfer case yesterday. Got my York compressor installed and mostly ready to run today.... and finally met my neighbor with the FJ55 I kept seeing. Crazy there is another cruiser freak a few doors down. Awesome weekend. Tomorrow hooking up the new heater and replacing a few seals and then degreasing everything. After having a badly leaking transfer case for the last year or so... well... lets just say I haven't had to worry about rust. Lol.

After finishing the paint I now realize how rough the interior is. Funny how that works. Unfortunately the PO sprayed linex on everything and it is beginning to bother me. It's going to get freshen'd up and all the other bits and pieces will get painted.

It never ends but it sure is fun.

Finally the perfect storm of time, weather, parts, tools and help converged to slot my 8 in.

Started removing the dealer option AC system. About 1/2 way done! got the lines disconnected, pump and pulley removed, evaporator core and the condenser removed. Now for the box under the dash.
