Did you have to extend the wires?

Yes, 3 of the 4 sensors were not long enough. 2 of the 3 sensors that needed to be extended had 6 wires, and the other one had 3 (IIRC).

I took my time, and did it right. Lineman's knots on each splice, and each knot was soldered, wrapped in tape, and when each group was finished, was coated in plastic sheathing, and wrapped with another layer of tape. They really turned out great; just took a whole lot of time.

No changes in exhaust tone.

I don't know if it's due to me removing all 4 cats and that my stock muffler is probably shagged but when I removed the end muffler I've got a deeper throatier tone.

I went from stock (too quiet) to a too loud muffler that droned on the highway then back to stock with 4 cats out and end muffler removed which to me sounds just right.

Here's a video I took today of how mine sounds while going round the dunes in RWD :hillbilly:

It sounds like a Baja boat with the captains call switch hit on. The sand looks like water. I love your driving style man...fun times

As the late great Yogi Berra said, "It's deja vu all over again:"

They say imitation is the most sincere form of flattery. ;)

I listened to the first 20 seconds. Yours is totally different than mine. I honestly was hoping for a slightly better/deeper tone, but it did not happen. Same tone as with the original setup.

I've run Dynomax mufflers with success in 4Rs. It was a throaty note without being overpowering and there was minimal highway drone at cruising speeds. The Flowmasters seemed to be too deep for the 4R.

What do the Tundra guys use as straight muffler replacements? I suspect their tones are deeper than LC based on the way their OEM tones compare to ours.

And that's exactly the way I took it :D

:)

Mine were originally painted orange, and and saw your red (and ARB's red) and said, "Hey, that looks a bit better"

Did you use the same gauge wire or something a little thicker?

I used a slightly heavier gauge wire.

Installed my new Yakima Full-Tilt 5 bike rack. Barely clears the 33"X11.5" Nitto on my tire swingout, but it does! Best bike rack I've owned, looks great on the truck too!

I installed a set of ARB drawers I ordered from Slee and then built a base shelf to mount my fridge and slide. The slide was too wide for the space between the drawers and the wheel well, so I built the shelf about six inches taller to get up over the wheel well arch. As a bonus, it gives me a great space underneath to store my Dutch oven table and other stuff. I couldn't match the ARB carpet perfectly, but it's close and looks decent.

I also installed a couple of USB and 12v outlets behind the fridge, and mounted my rechargeable flashlight back there. Everything is wired to my auxiliary battery. Overall, I'm really pleased with this setup and the drawers from Slee are fantastic.

After months (first invoice Feb 16th) of dealing with Schutt and their dealers trying to get an xVenture trailer we decided to start from scratch and build everything ourselves. Amazing size and capacity for 1400lbs/650kg weight. LOTS to do though.

Nice, looks like you will be spending some time on Expedition portal and Steel Soldiers! I want to build 1 up real bad myself. Cant wait to see how it turns out.
