wow, my wife didn't say that........ YET.... but I could see that clause appearing in my future!

She was less attentive when I began modding the 4Runner and every time we pass an untouched one I have to hear about how I "ruined" it. I get stopped by guys gawking at the 4R all the time and it's beyond her why anyone appreciates what I've done to it or how much fun it is off pavement. At least while she's focused on the LC I can continue to execute my 4R plans without any more of her input.

if I had a dollar for everytime my wife said I "ruined it" I would be rolling 35's right now:) When ever she see's a stock LC I have to hear about how "classy" it looks etc.. She did tell me tonight it turns way better after the lift, I was shocked!!!

i have a cure for that - have three kids and buy her a minivan of her choice - ha
My wife doesn't say anything - but i must admit, since I sold my motorcycle I could probably bring home a airplane and she would turn a blind eye.

Gave Ol' black a good wax, paint is still rough though :(

I'm going to invest in some clay bars and do her all over again. I used meguiars bug and tar remover after a good wash, followed by their ultimate paste wax and finally scrubbed the windows real good with their glass cleaner. Of all days to wax it started raining as soon as i was done. Oh well at least i know the water beading works on the paint and windows. Haha One and only one fuzzy photo and the rest I'll upload when i get home, pulled the canon out and put it to good use.

What phone are you using to take pics?
LG G3, camera lens scratched up and i think infra red auto focus isn't working properly. Good news is i found my old sony c905 charged it up and the photos are crisp on it. I'll keep it in the cruiser for photo duties. And my next phone definitely needs an optical zoom lens

Yeah, the focus on that one is messed up. Is it doing that even if you tap on the screen to see if it will focus on a part of the shot?

Can you update us on your suspension setup and the size tires you're running? No rubbing??
With the 275-70-17 KO2s I don't have more than an inch of room at the mudflaps. Truck looks angry.

Well to begin I've been extremely lazy and have not adjusted any of the the tuning options (1-10) on the Icon CDCV resi's as of yet - I will start playing with that now that its warming up outside. The rig feels big and heavy when riding down the highway but comfortable and very predictable. It soaks up everything (dips / potholes / speed bumps). I can "hit" a turn and be rather aggressive and there is very very little body roll - more tire flex than anything. No noises from the suspension (inside the cabin or outside). I drove it to Chicago from Louisville (5 hours) and wasn't tired or beat up after the trip. The tire noise was annoying but easily drowned out by music (I'm looking into fat mat sound abatement for the door panels).
My wife didn't say anything about the tire noise but I was thinking it the whole time. l was driving around in the ETC mode for about three weeks and loved it but the gas was vanishing quickly - the ETC makes it feel as though its back on the smaller OEM tires - quick. For those wondering regular mode is better on gas - whether thats due to your foot or electronics I'm not sure. I'd say my cruising speed on the highway is around 75-80 (no kids) but I'm not really sure what speed I'm traveling - Slee has something to correct that on his web page. I know theres apps for that.
I've put about 3000 miles on it since the first of the year (2015)
The suspension set up is as follows:
SPC UCA's up front - don't know what setting they are on - I didn't do the install
Icon Coil overs up front with the CDCV resi's
SES Timbren Bump stops up front
Slee sway bar relocation bracket's - theres no way these tires would work without that kit.
Diff Drop kit - thanks to Amir904 - no leaking from the cv boots
I removed about a 6" squared section of the front fender liner for tire clearance - bottom portion and worked upwards on both sides (DS / PS)
I need to borrow a neighbors heat gun and manipulate some of the plastic that the front mud flaps were attached to - I am getting a little rub (passenger side) when taking left hand turns (only) - very little and only when going up inclines - should be an easy fix, other than that theres no rub lock to lock.
I removed both of the front mud flaps
The rear set up is SES Timbren Bump stops - I had 1/4" cut off each of the bump stop (rear only) base plate / mounting plate as it was contacting my rear springs (horrible noise) - it's fixed now.
OME 722 rear springs
OME 10 mm 80 series trim packer
Icon 2.5 VS shock with the CDCV resi's - which are piggy backs - when its time to rebuild them I want to pay Icon to make those resi's detached from the shock body / bracket and attach them by a few inch hose (mount else where) for easy of adjusting the dampening dial. I'd need to crawl under my truck and blindly adjust the dial as it is set up currently - not user friendly - like it was an after thought.
Icon adjustable rear trailing arms.
5 TRD 17" WR wheels - swapped out with my TPMS - removed the OEM spare tire as its useless right now.
Nitto tires - 35x12.5x17 trail grapplers (33 psi) - theres about an fingers width space in between the inner edge of the front tires and the most outer part of the SPC UCA.
The stock suspension felt lazy / loose on the road and way too soft whether driving in a straight line, in a turn or hitting a dip / speed bump.
The front gained 3.6" (in height) due to the suspension and the tires brought it up to an even 5" above stock - pretty much the same results in the rear.
I called Icon and asked if I should be doing anything with the rear end (other components) due to the height gains (any after market parts / longer / stronger) and their engineers said it wasn't needed - we'll see if something breaks and then figure out why that happened - hope not, but you never know.
Slee said the sway bar relocation bracket could possibly cause premature sway bar bushing wear due to its new position- I'll see what happens.
I plan on mounting a front bumper and a winch so I'll see what that does to the front end and if the coil overs can compensate for any sag that may occur due to the added weight.
There was a loss in take off umph after the 35's went on but I'm use to it now and like I mentioned above the ETC is there if desired.
The tires feel firm (for being so big) and nice on the road - I really like them.
So far thats whats going on and i don't regret any of it. The techs at Toyota were star struck when it rolled in for an oil change. They just stared and quit working - it was awkward and awesome all in the same.
Hope thats what you were looking for?
It is "angry" - it says why are you packing me full of car seats, Disney dvd's and forgotten hardened gummy snacks - get my a$$ on the trails.
thanks for the asking

Well the dealer scratched all 4 of my RW's rotating the tires. Specifically said to take extra care of wheels when rotating and in tech notes. Left instructions on front seat for them as well. Service mgr got an earful on the phone today. A little regret but told him they were working on a LC not a Yaris! Hence a little upset. He asked if they could be fixed by the "rim doctor"? I don't think so..... Stay tuned.

with clear photos its hard to recognise its your TLC - I finally got some of those 18" 1600KG wheels I was working on a while back. I got its as close as I could to OEM look without getting into trouble. Added some 1550kg TOYO tires also. Now customer is complaining the TLC is to high vs OEM height. (My ARB 5500kg setup)

I did just get the prototype Bilstien 4700kg in 2 days ago. Still need to install it and take it for a test spin.

Great write-up @Willy beamin, those are my same thoughts too. Please tell me more about this thing Slee is developing to correct the odometer; that sounds promising!

@codyaustin5 , Pedersen?
Maybe you could talk them into getting you a new set of OEM Rock Warriors?

I'd ask them for replacement rings if thats what they damaged. They're not that expensive. I wouldn't want them fixed by rim doctor, They need to be stripped of clear powdercoat, polished, and then clear coated with powdercoat. www.ProformanceIndustries.com and do it but it's not going to be cheaper than new rings, it's all labor. They have done all my wheels on present and past cars and trucks.

FULL DISCLOSURE: Proformance Industries is owned by my brother in law but they do incredible work.

Willie,
I'm feeling quite inadequate.

Don't let my obsession bother you. If I wasn't spending money on this it'd be something else. I'm just glad I found a forum that lets know I'm not alone.
