Finally had my mechanic install my BB sliders, feel very solid.

A quick run down to the beach, rescued a very stuck duck hunter...winch, traction boards, and shovel work...then some time training the pup. Gorgeous day to disappear for some fresh air.

Guess what I will do to my Land Cruiser this week?
Parts arrived yesterday freshly from the Emirates (oem parts from there are even with taxes, delivery etc like 1/4 the price than buying them here at the Toyota dealer in Germany)

Rear diff lock actuator? Didn’t you have a manual unit installed?

jepp but I made the decision to go back with a new actuator. The manual one was kinda nice but I noticed problems engaging the whole thing on freezing temps.
Looks like the bowden tends to freeze.

Bummer, that was impressive work.

Awesome rig. What brand bumpers and sliders did you go with? Other mods?
Budbuilt sliders, OME BP51 front, 2" OME 2721 med duty rear. Dissent bumpers front and rear, with ComeUp 12k winch. Budbuilt skid plates. Dual Battery.

time to recoat with gtechniq exo v5 given it’s been around two years since last application. Cue warranted pavement princess remarks.

I guess there's no reason a princess can't be... portly.

Though compared a lot of overland builds yours is shredded.

For the Momentum GT guys,
I grabbed this air scoop on sale and installed today. I'm going way faster now.

I think the kids say...."thicc"?

How many miles?
51k. But supposedly needs to be recoated every 18-24 months. Mine is mostly garaged and cared for better than most, so I pushed a little further than 2 years. It's still got the ceramic coat underneath anyways.

Replaced the cabin air filter. 2 years and about 20k miles on it. Pretty dirty, replaced it with the OEM charcoal filter.

Then I popped off the airbox top, knocked the dirt/crap out of the engine air filter, rotated it so the clean side was on the intake side and put it back in.

You're kidding, right? Please tell us you're kidding...

I replaced the filter not long ago. Wasn’t due to be changed but I check it more often because of the snorkel.

I thought part of the claims with a snorkel were that it pulls cleaner air

So... you really did flip the filter and re-installed it with the dirty side toward the engine (i.e. "... rotated it so the clean side was on the intake side...)?
