Not flappy at all if you maintain the support at the back of the wheel well. It was flappy until I bolted and plastic pinned that back in place.

I had a bad alignment issue that I let go for a few thousand miles and badly cupped my 295/70/18 Wildpeaks. I briefly considered same size but honestly price is a wash. Here are options I was considering but really wanted a load D or E, 3PMSF tire:
On the Mickey’s, despite their 3PMSF rating, I’m not convinced it’s a good snow tire given its tread design.
The Toyos are probably a great option but honestly the sidewall is just too tame for me.
I really tried hard to not buy KO2s but in the end I went with the most superficial criteria: I really like the sidewall. Come at me.
I had done most of the work to fit 295s including recently added extended Perry Parts bump stops front and rear which have fixed my rear rubbing issue.
This week I banded the pinch weld over and notched a slit in the body mounts and hammered them back. Unsure if actually needed. I’ll stitch them up when I find a friend who can well. Sprayed everything wit POR15 and 3M factory undercoating.
Only issue I had was some plastic that I missed. Fixed with more heat.
Can’t wait to see it in the daylight lol.

Join along as I work through making the necessary clearance mods for 35x12.5R20s tires on my LX. These Toyo AT3s spec out to be 34.5" x 12.5". If you have any suggestions, I'm interested in hearing. Note that this fitment is specific to the LX as it's easier to fit larger and wider tires...

Went with the superficial criteria (blingy sidewall) at the expense of another criteria that typically gets the superficial folks excited (actual size) 
Truthfully, I don't know if the BFG measures small in that particular size, but if the rest of their sizes are any indication.... did you measure the diameter? Honestly curious.

Replaced the DS seat foam. Money well spent. The left side had pretty well collapsed, and the foam was disintegrating. Glad I didn't put it off as the seat heater is woven into a piece of thin foam and attached to the cover - and that foam was aging out as well. All good, though...this one is set for another decade+.
Run the VIN before ordering foam. There were three listed for mine. Had to have the EPC and VIN to get that one right. Also, get the Mr. Pen upholstery pliers from Amazon. They make this job a breeze.

It's really not a bad job. Having those pliers makes the hard part easy. Pay attention to how it comes apart, and it goes together pretty easily.

Looks great and can’t wait to see more pics! That’s the exact diameter of the Yoko G003 295/70/R18 that I have eyes on but I’ve been indecisive about it due to wanting to have the full size spare underneath. Did you try to stuff that 34.3” under the truck? Mine is a 15 LX.
I have a dissent rear bumper now but I originally went with a 295/70 because it fit underneath

Hahaha true. I’ll grab some weighted measurements today but honestly not a big concern. Unmounted, the tire was a full inch taller than my falkens so I’m sure they end up same being diameter when under the truck.
Also if anyone doubts the effectiveness of Method bead grips, it took Discount Tire almost 3 hours and 2 calls to Method to break the beads. They shredded the mounting surface on my falkens getting them off.

Based on the specs, looks like the KO2s measure out to be 34.5 and inline with the competitive set in this size. In other sizes where they are smaller, it's reflected in the spec.
I feel like flotation sizes are built to flex better and would be curious to hear @tbisaacs feedback if he feels that's true against his previous 295/70 tire.

Just a hair over 34” at 41psi. My truck is approx 7200 pounds. I think I am getting my money’s worth

Nice that they hold, but that's a bit ridiculous for removal. Heaven forbid the tire need to be rotated on the wheel to improve balance
