I just missed you

Changed all the pads and rotors. The fronts were getting really low. The rears still had some life left, but I changed them anyway cuz I just always like changing them all at once so I don't have to think about it for a long time.

How many miles?

How many miles?
88,000. The previous owner had general oil/etc service done regularly at a Toyota dealer, and I can see the service records, but it never showed the brake pads being replaced. I'd be really surprised if the original pads lasted that long... but maybe?

Very possible, mine are 60K and I have no plans to swap out pads and possibly rotors until 75-80K and that's out of sheer uniformity at a nice round number lol.

I just did pads all around on mine at 57000, I had rotors right there ready to go and decided to save them for later. I did replace all of the springs, clips, rubber bits, and pins. Pins were pretty corroded. Pads at 57k had some meat left and rotors were fine. didn't measure them just compared to the new. All OEM for me.

Made some new tailgate cables
That is awesome. I never thought to do that, but I have a hydraulic crimper like that, and I need to get my lower cargo door off the Dissent bumper.

Are there two ferrules on the small eye end and one each on the large loop end?

What's the supply list:
6 ea. 3/16" ferrules
~10' of sheathed cable
Heat shrink

Do you have a sense of how much elongation you get in this config, or is it pretty static once assembled?

I love it and am 100% copying you!!

Routed my ARB twin lines to an outside fitting on the front of my Ironman bumper. Added added a line dryer to my DIY 4 tire inflator, and a neodymium magnet to attach it to my bumper
I run a similar setup. One of my favorite mods!

Added panhard bracket to raise my panhard back to near horizontal. It has made a big improvement in illuminating the side to side shimmy with high speed bumps. My new rear springs added 2” additional lift and the “butt wiggle” had gotten pretty bad. No all better.

I highly recommend this mod if you have more than 1 1/2” lift.

It’s not just the geometry of the upper tank. This radiator had ~110k on it before being pulled and looked like this after sitting beside my garage for a couple weeks. Obvious degradation of the plastic tank material.

Holy crap that is brilliant. That's getting printed and laminated and going in the garage cabinet. I never remember where the large and small M8s go each time I take them off as I just chuck them on the ground when I drop them each time.

I keep track of them like this.. if it attaches something to a crossmember welded to the frame, it’s a big washer. If it attaches a skid to the center spine or another skid, it’s a small washer.

Bought one last week knowing it had an occasional misfire on cylinder 1 on cold starts. Spent all day replacing the broken intake valve spring on said cylinder that was overlooked when throwing parts at it. Now time to have some fun with it.

Great catch. How did you hold the valves up during spring replacement? Air pressure? Rope fed down the spark plug hole?

I went the Air pressure route.

What rear springs you running? Aux tank and bumper?
