OEM side steps off, LC200 rocker panel on, I’ll put on slee sliders this weekend! The Lx side steps are actually sturdier than I imagined

Very very nice! Very neat and compact.Gave my portable Yeti 1500x a little more of the convenience usually associated with a permanent secondary battery install by adding a charging source switch. I have been using the single high-power-port input on the Yeti for both alternator charging and AC adapter charging. Until today, I would have to unplug one HPP cable to plug in the other every time I switched sources. Now I just turn a knob.

Some minor cosmetic finishing left to do, but already this is a huge improvement for me, as the charging cable switch-over was often a multiple-times-per-day hassle. I never found the Yeti high-power port connector pleasant or easy to use.
The switch was hard to find. It's a DPDT on-off-on switch from Blue Sea. The listed specs are for AC only, but Blue Sea confirmed with their supplier that the ratings were fine for DC as well.
The only remaining hassle is plugging and unplugging the AC power cord, but I made that easy some time ago.

This is really great but wouldn't work for us very well because we're constantly moving the, yeti, the Dometic 75LDZ and the other stuff it powers around. Sometimes the Yeti is in the tent, sometimes not. The Dometic might be powered from the Yeti unless the campsite has power etc... The solar panels and the 600W AC charger which we use for charging the Yeti sometimes require relocating with the Yeti etc...
We can just never predict.
Goal Zero now has a very nice looking car charging kit that now attaches to one of the Yeti expansion ports and will charge it at a much higher wattage (550W+ I think) than the Orion 12-24-15 which is limited in my experience to 360-380W.
This is the car charging unit from Goal Zero which was not available when I purchased my Yeti 1500X which is why I went with the Victron 12-24-15 setup: YetiLink Vehicle Integration Kit
BTW, I get more, consistent wattage (360-380W) with a blower fan on the Victron 12-24-15's cooling fins than I did with the unit cooling passively. I run the blower fan off the Yeti 1500X's USB port when charging on the road with the Victron.
VERY INTERESTING regarding the issues with the Goal Zero car charger. I wouldn't rush to blame yourself; Goal Zero chargers run very hot. I left the 120W wall charger that came with the 1500X on the lid and it melted the lid. The 600W charger also runs quite hot but has a cooling fan which allows you to pick it up and probably wouldn't melt plastic. The Victron by contrast has been rock solid. When it gets hot it current limits. My point: the high temperatures of the Goal Zero chargers makes me think they're poorly designed.Makes sense! Different needs, different solutions.
I have the car charging kit too but have had a few issues with it. First, it seemed less reliable than the Victron at sparing the car battery from drainage. However, there were other potential variables involved, so I say "seemed" here. Second the plug/inlet interface loosened over time, likely due to offroading and stresses on the interface. Eventually, the plug partially melted into the inlet and became extremely difficult to remove. I don't blame Yeti for these issues; I think my use case simply didn't work well with the car charging kit.

I will be at the Ed Martin Toyota event tomorrow if anyone is interested in learning more about having their vehicle dry ice cleaned.

If you have to ask . . .Let’s us know the cost
Yeah, I have to ask. I don’t blindly pay for things without knowing the cost of them. This is how people don’t over spend and build wealth. Maybe if I was a multi-millionaire and earned it by way of trust growing up without respecting the dollar, I’d probably throw caution into the wind and not ask what something cost.If you have to ask . . .

Does it have floor anchors on all 4 corners? any photos of the anchors attaching to the floor? This looks great, I have a single arb drawer. I see you have a use for one 3rd row option as well!Hat tip to built in overlanding mods. Drawer, fridge slide, and 100Ah LiFePO4 house batt complete.
