Van mode enabled.. is it wrong to want larger towing tires?!
Changed pads and lower trailing arms along with finished platform.

If I am seeing those rotors correctly you have DBA rotors. Any tips on what pads to use to reduced squeezing? I have DBA rotors and their extreme pads.
I'm using TRD pads with the DBA rotors

Bought a new HE last Monday! And promptly removed the roof basket.

Going to ARB HQ for some prototyping tomorrow and I’ll be grabbing the Base Rack at the same times

Full suspension is on the horizon too as it is very raked

Made a few tool friends this weekend working on the 200 to install Old Man Emu lift kit:

1) Toyota factory jack (surprisingly put the floor jack to shame in usefulness for getting the front of the truck up on jack stands- floor jack was great for manipulating suspension though)
2) Penetrating oil made it a lot easier to get some of the suspension bolts out
3) BFH (picked up a 4 lb sledge and made short work of the tie rod bolts)
4) Pry bar saved my butt a couple times with the sway bar linkage bolts connecting the sway bar to the lower suspension arms
5) Punches were key for the single bolt holding the bottom of each strut

Unfortunately, a couple challenges of the install means I'll have to make a second attempt next week.

Here were the show stoppers:

1) LCAs have seized cam bolts. I've got a brushless sawzall and medium and thick metal blades and new OEM LCAs and hardware ready to go in. But not looking forward to cutting the old bolts and sleeves out.

Question to the group: Anyone have any tips for cutting seized cam bolts out?

2) I couldn't for the life of me pry out the worn Old Man Emu shocks by loosening up the upper ball joints, removing the steering rod ends, and removing the bolts connecting the sway bar to the lower suspension arms... I left the nuts retaining the upper ball joints on, leaving about half the nut on the end of the thread, after giving the the top of the steering knuckles a good thwab with the BFH to allow them to drop down onto the nut. To prevent the risk of the CVs falling apart, I did not completely remove the upper ball joints. But using a big flat head screw driver and a pry bar, I could not get the bottom of the old shock to slip out after removing the single bolt and removing the top 4 bolts.

Question to the group: How can I pry and leverage the old worn Old Man Emu shocks out of the lower suspension arms? Do I need to drop the LCA instead of just loosening the upper ball joint?

Any other good natured tips appreciated!

Thanks y'all- I always appreciate the group's expertise.

Here are the instructions I was using:

Bought a permit for Clear Creek, entered through a locked gate with the combo, got a bit turned around, came down a very unsuitable trail to get out through New Idria which went around the locked gate…didn’t get photos of the gnarly section as I was white knuckled the way through. Basically 1/6 mile of degraded cliff hugger one lane that is part of Clear Creek Road but has a bypass - the Aurora Cutoff- that I probably should have taken as that leads to the legit gated access point. The Google maps image shows the left turn I should not have taken and the sketchy portion, though some may really enjoy it :)

In my experience, yes, you will want to loosen and lower the LCA (cam bolts willing). Be sure to unbolt the hub and support it when lowering the LCA, else your CV might be very unhappy if it droops too far. Been there, done that.

I think you need some new drawers. I know a local guy who can hook you up ;)
I like how light these are and how easily I can remove them when I need the full cargo height. Otherwise I would've jumped on what you took out

I had Cruiser Outfitters order and install a 12.5G LRA tank for my 2020 HE. They installed it yesterday and I made the 500 mile drive back to Flagstaff today. The pump is very quiet from inside the car and it took less than 20 minutes to transfer 10+ gallons. Quite happy with the installation and auxiliary tank. Ollie there does all of the LRA installs and thoroughly explained the installation and how best to operate it.

They provided an upgraded Precision fuel pump, upgraded hoses and clamps as part of the install package. I knew the 285x65x18 spare would hang lower then the original setup. I measured 11" at rear and 8" inbound from my level concrete slab. Not an issue since I'm not a rock climber (yet).

I just returned from a 2,500 mile road trip with the LRA 12.5g tank. No issues what so ever. Filled 12 gallons in 16 minutes. No click offs or codes. 100% happy with this setup.

looking forward to what your drawer looks like. i recently added a fridge slide on the same side using the existing 3rd row bolt holes and still thinking through what i want for the storage solution. i want to keep one of the 3rd row seats in.

That looks great, and is nicely done!! Liking that handle and may borrow that. I'm torn back and forth as to keeping it simple as easy like what you've got.

Versus trying to harvest storage underneath the fridge, by building a relatively low profile drawer underneath. Stacking things on top has been mildly annoying. I'm also trying to use a full length slide so the fridge can be accessible from the second row while in transit. Still working out details and hopefully will share more shortly.

Major functional pieces are in. Trying it on for size and I think the ergonomics will work okay. Wanted the fridge positioned to allow fridge access from the second or 3rd passenger row while transit. With the slide enabling access at the rear when parked. Worked in a long low profile drawer underneath. Still working details but the whole contraption should be ~30lbs and easily removable.

Installed some ARB mid height drawers this last weekend. The install was a pain at moments but the results are great. I went with the mid height due to our 65 pound dog who rides in his kennel while we drive. These drawers fit the kennel better than the full height ones.

I built a custom sleeping platform for my 100 specifically designed to accommodate plastic bins underneath. It was a great system but I wanted to do something with a little nicer look in the 200.

It is exposed yes. I have some ideas on protection for it.
So I found some shorter oil can filter options that won't protrude as far as my current one, this one was my first try so you live and you learn. I will post some pics when I get the new one installed.

I did not install the oil can filter just for the gauges, I was never a fan of that cartridge filter the LC200 comes with and was long overdue to get rid of that thing.
Any progress on this?
