That's great to hear. It does feel very solid. I can't pull on it hard enough to see any give or flex in the mounting.

You know, my wife just returned home from a 600 mile road trip to visit her parents and she didn't even notice it. She's not super perceptive on stuff like that but it didn't even enter her consciousness, which is a great sign. After I mounted it I drove it around up to 73mph. Mine is 76 inches in length and partially covers the sunroof. With the sunroof open it's quite a bit louder as you might imagine, and now actually deflects a bit of breeze into the cabin which I like. With the sunroof closed and sun visor open, I do notice it. With the sun visor closed I have to listen very carefully to hear it at all, so I can manage it well. Good enough for me!

Mine is due to arrive tomorrow, how do you like it so far?
I am assuming you are responding to my post. So far so good other than a small area where the powder coat chipped off. I emailed them about any temp measure I can do to protect that area (no response). Only have had it on for 24 hours now but it is exactly as advertised. Assembly was easy. Only thing I didn't have was a torque wrench to tighten everything to instructions spec. With the difficulty I had with mounting the tire (holding the tire and adjusting bolts), the ability to take the tire swing off and on as needed is going to be a chore so mine will likely stay on at all times unless I go to a true rear bumper swing out. Not sure on your state laws, but the license plate can't be obstructed. I have mine zip-tied to my wheel until I order the license plate bracket. I think I am going to be buying locking lugs to be safe.

Yes, sorry, thought I had tagged you in the first reply. I'm looking forward to it, I did get the license plate bracket, just to be safe. I was thinking about the holding the tire/bolts and came to the same conclusion. We'll see what happens when it arrives.

You should consider reinstalling at least the front most cowling as it is responsible for directing airflow through the radiator - especially at low speeds.

It is a 200 amp dual battery isolator. It will cut off the power to the aux battery when main drops to a certain voltage, but it will allow the alternator to charge aux battery when on. It has a trigger to override if you need to jump main battery from secondary. I have the switch on the voswitch on upper left so I can do it from in the cabin.
Probably overkill but I am kinda down the rabbit hole.

Yeah those terminals. I searched for a while. I didnt want to pay $100 plus for terminals but everything else I saw looked kinda cheap and not as functional.

1 set is $45, and they are incredible. solid aluminum. 3 top screw in and one side one. I have them on both main and aux.
Wouldn't a modern DC-DC charger have been the better choice for the aux battery in view of other battery technologies such as LiPos which are also becoming more and more popular and cheaper? This way you are not bound to use the same battery type as the two originals.
Yes. It has a redarc 50 amp dc dc that can do all battery chemistries. It is mounted vertically next to aux battery.
I got the optum for now but honestly the best is to put a more advanced chemistry battery behind the drawers in the back.
The hill let me right into a tree but it was pretty cool to see all four tires spinning as they climb.
James at RLC welding knocked it out of the ballpark with this rear bumper. Got it a week ago. Insanely well made. Definitely love the powder coat I got from flaming dirt in frisco TX.
