You have to remove the sill cover of the rear doors, and the little "step" plate next to the rear seats, there is one remaining bolt holding the rear interior trim in place. Also at the trunk you'll have to remove the plastic (hinged) sill cover to remove one screw. I've over time removed the sill covers on all doors and broke at least one of the retainers on them when doing so. There are one or two more screws where the seatbelt is treaded through the panel and with the release catch of the thrid row. The quarter panel itself is mostly clipped in place and will come off easily once you remove the above items.Still struggling to completely remove interior rear quarter trim panels. I’ve pulled out back edge before, but can’t get any further forward, I’m afraid of breaking hidden clips. And guidance? This is a 2020 LC200, no jumper seats.
Did you get your black oxide button head screws from McMaster Carr? Just a heads up I recently swapped some exterior screws on my rack with some of their black oxide button head alloy screws and they rusted within two weeks. Pretty bummed it was like 40 screws. I just finished swapping them back out with stainless.Installed my brackets for the Keon rear shelf. I reach in my tool draws and pulled out a much longer M6 bolt to manipulate the fittings in, also changed out hardware to black oxide flanged button head machine screws, much better look and locktite them in. Now awaiting my fab shop to finish duplicating the shelf with an aluminum version of the tray. This should cut weight in half adding significantly to the payload.
I have spray painted the heads of the stainless screws with success.Did you get your black oxide button head screws from McMaster Carr? Poke them thru a big piece of cardboard and spray away!
I typically buy from Bel-Metric but you’re right, I have run into that issue before.Did you get your black oxide button head screws from McMaster Carr? It sounds awesome--I posted a video in the exhaust thread, but I'll throw it in here too. They don't have the LC200 exhaust listed on the website yet; best way is to text or call Keith of DDI directly to discuss options. I sent a number of texts to try to figure everything out and then called him up when I figured out what I wanted to order. He can walk you through options if you tell him what you want. His number is also in the exhaust thread, but it's 760.877.4234Sweeeeeet. Install it yet? How does it sound?
Also, on their website, they don't list anything for the LC. Is this a Tundra system that fits?
