So these just use the same attachment points as the stock "slider' tubes? Interesting.

Yep - you only need 2 (or maybe 3) nutserts. Everything else bolts to the existing threaded holes. Actually much easier than the regular 200 sliders.

Not the same if you mean Slee’s normal 200 sliders. Not the connecting support structure, but it does use those holes plus some more.

But maybe you mean the stock steps?

But maybe you mean the stock steps?

Slee's 570 sliders use the same mounting holes as the AHC accumulator rails/tubes/slider things that are under the plastic steps. It's a brilliant design.

Yup. Existing holes and 3 more that need nutserts. The ones on the bottom of the frame.

They'll tuck up more if you loosen the mounts and stick a jack under the two main supports. I was able to tuck mine up another 1/2" this way.

Thanks. I’ll give it a shot.

Need tires and live in NC or upstate SC? There's a seller in Charlotte, NC with a set of KO2s in 285/75/17 claiming they only have several hundred miles on them. He switched them out for Ridge Grapplers. Ad says price is $800, I contacted him and he was willing to do $700 for the set. Unfortunately, he took too long to respond over Memorial Day weekend and I grabbed RGs on sale instead.

Ah so these are the ones you mentioned to me.

I was getting very close to buying a KM3, but man... that is a cheap price.

Funny thing is I really want an all terrain, but I do find myself in mud a lot.

But I find myself driving thousands of miles on interstate. Then back in the mud. Ugh

I had KO2 on my FJ and they did amazing in the mud. I was dragging a 3rd gen Tacoma up the nastyist mud hill ever on KO2. I was sold.

But the 200 is way heavier, and that worries me. I may get these and just see what I can pull off with them. I do like to go further with less. It’s kinda my thing. Probably why my 200 has very little done to it.

Decisions.

Sounds like you already know the decision to make. Be happy with your selection for 95% of the time and maybe curse your decision for 5% in the mud.

Unless you can grab a set of KM3s for less than $700.

Wish he had responded to me more quickly as I was happy to grab them. And with my current tire noise, maybe I should have gone with them over RGs. Oh well.

Well tell yea what, (even though I don’t like RGs) your ridge grapplers with those Evos for my Rock Warriors with these KO2?

Rock warriors come with copious amounts of rock rash preinstalled so that way people KNOW you are a warrior... umm... in the rocks!

Or send them to me...
I have a matching, rashed set. :)

Need a buyer for my near-new 35’s too...

That sounds like a lot of wishful thinking ;)

Hope my truck hasn't capsized and floated out of the shop by now!

85k service, and then some. Had a local mechanic friend make me an offer I couldn't refuse, even though I like to do almost all of my own work.

Flushed, and or drained and filled with OEM synthetic fluids:
  • Engine oil and filter
  • Transmission
  • Front differential
  • Rear differential
  • Transfer case
  • Steering
  • Brake
R&R all rotors and pads, new OEM rotors, and another set of TRD brake pads.

Boring, but oh so necessary service on a low mile, but 10+ year old 2009 LC.

Removed 3rd row seats for upcoming cross country trip!

If the BudBuilt shop is ever underwater, so is the east side of the country.

So I picked up those KO2. Thanks Jon, saved me some serious money.

Got a shop in town to install an OME BP-51 suspension, UCAs, Nitto Ridge Grapplers, and got them powder coat the wheels a “forged charcoal” gloss color! Could not be any happier with how it turned out. Went from a mall crawler to a mall crawler with bigger tires ;)

This looks awesome, I always thought the stock wheels aren’t bad they just needed to be a different color. How much did everything run if you don’t mind me asking?

Right around $7k
