Yes, I will take some pics of the work. Crutchfield has some replacement speaker options, some good stuff. My direction is towards dynaudio speakers and Audison amps. But it is $$$, so it will be a slow process. I had a full system in a Lexus GS400, really amazing sound. It will take a lot of dynamat to suppress the whine of the Cooper tires.

What rust? This frame is quite clean. Truck came out of Texas.

That is a sheet metal bracket welded to the lower arm to reinforce the sway bar bottom mount. I think you're seeing a combination of that, road salt and a super zoomed out cell phone photo

Swapped the factory tie down points for the ARB ones on the LX. One job.

Mmmm, 200 wheel rear bearings are such a beast to do, and I'm a bit disappointed we are seeing failures at 125-150k, my 100 has 235k on original rear bearings fwiw and they are easier to change imo.

The upside... time for a rear ARB Air Locker while the shafts are out

I’m not sure I’ve seen this failure mentioned before, so what are the symptoms and signs to look out for?

Play at the wheel, noise, ABS errors, etc.

We've seen both. The race car gets new ones once or twice a season with under 1500 miles between. My personal 200 has been flagged pretty good but nothing outside of normal so I'm calling it mileage based.

Speaking of age based failures, is there a water pump related failure thread for 200's. I've seen a half dozen here locally in the 100k range with weeping pumps including my own. This weekend Olly (my shop czar) is doing a radiator and AISIN pump/fan bracket on Bryce's 2008 (our office manager). The plan was a radiator (see cracked Radiator thread) and then water pump while he was in there. Sure enough his was also leaking.

He went ahead and did the new AISIN fan bracket along with the pump, belt and our regular "service kit". I notice trends in the Land Cruiser parts sales realm and we sell more 200 water pumps than we do 100 water pumps. Then again we sell more 100 timing belt kits and those come with water pumps

Yeah, stupid thing was that a minute before that I went out to move it out of the way so the mower guy could clean up the grass in front of the vehicle - the bullbar overhangs the carpark a bit, and he can never get the little stripe under the bar. I got to the car and realised I left the fob on my desk, so went back to get it and the rock went through the window as I reached the office door.....
