Yep definitely 35s according to the mfg. Of course very few tires measure what the mfg claims, and these are measuring an actual 34.2" mounted on the LC. These are significantly bigger than the mfg claim of 33.4" on the Duratracs they're replacing. That really underscores an important point of what people mean they say what tire size you should or shouldn't run. Some like the BFG 34x10.50x17 run almost 2" short while a Super Swamper runs true to size if not larger than what's printed on the sidewall.

This is why I'm always asking guys if they'd be willing to measure their mounted tires. The listed specs are often WILDLY off. It makes hunting for tires a real pain...

Thanks for measuring.

Anytime! I actually sold my M4 a while back to finish buying some property. Still miss that car, I got lucky and was able to be part of the first euro delivery group for the F8X models. I'm under the same user name at BMW M3 and BMW M4 Forum - Powered by vBulletin

Perfect! Thanks! I'll shoot you a PM when/if I make it out there. If you're ever in Utah and want to hoon the old 535is E28 (or my beater E24) I'm restoring let me know!

Feedback welcome:

Magnetic Grey LC...trying to decide what to put on the grill.

I painted the black grill matte black (my result shown below)..which I like better than the shiny, piano black that it is by default.

Now trying to decide what to put on it:

Old Standard...my first choice...might darken to grey:

REALLY Old Standard:

Or red...as I have other red accents here and there (TRD is red on RW wheels, recovery points, maxxtrax are red, etc.)

Hmmm....

What do you think?

I went ahead and installed the grill with the TOYOTA, but with zip-ties...so I can change the emblem. Zip-ties work GREAT, by the way. I remember others having trouble with screw backing coming loose, and Dremel work, etc. I just cut off the screw bumps in the back, and it's quite secure. I don't think anyone will notice the two zip-ties...

I prefer TOYOTA over the others.

If you're going to have other red accents on the truck, I like the bottom one.

But, I have to say that I love that my 100 is de-badged and the only emblem on it is the TEQ on the grill. Fun to watch people walk around it and scratch their heads... HA!

J

Ha! Ya, I have TEQ on the back of mine...but it says "Land Cruiser" right below it...

Love the matte black, looks great! I'd rock the Toyota on it!

it may be an 'old standard', but i still prefer the TOYOTA emblem... that's my vote.

View attachment 1385757 View attachment 1385758 Got the 35s put on today with the Rock Warriors. I really like how it turned out. It's rubbing on the front mud flaps at lock so I'll remove those tonight and trim as necessary.

Removed the mud flaps and 95% of the rubbing is gone. It's slightly touching the sway bar at full lock, but I'm getting the KDSS relocation done along with an alignment at Slee this week. Hopefully all will be cured after.

Awesome! Looking forward to the Slee post-game report, as I'm looking to do a very similar setup.

Finally got some suspension modifications done this week on my 2009 LC and picked up a set of Rock Warrior wheels with 285/70/17 BFG KO2 tires.

Front: OME 2702 coils, 91005 struts, SPC Upper Control Arms
Rear: OME 2722 coils, 61029 struts, 661 shock guards

I know that this is a fairly common setup....and for good reason. Rides great on the road (very little road noise from the KO2's in my opinion) and has been confidence-inspiring in some limited trail, dirt road driving.

Would spidertrax spacers allow the KDSS bar to clear at lock? I'm liking the 35s quite a bit. I need these KO2s to wear down so I can get some too.

Perhaps, but for many reasons I abhor spacers and will not run them. I would much rather go to a smaller tire size than to add spacers. I know others do it and don't mind the tradeoffs, but I won't do it. If the KDSS relocation and alignment don't cure the slight rubbing I have now, I'll downsize tires to a 285/75/17.
