Installing some of these:

Along with a bunch of other goodies!

They were a bit soft for my use straight out of the box, so i had them re-valved and some other internal goodies installed. Best thing i ever did to my 2 hundy IMO. Now send us some jump pics!!!

My front end felt weird over the last two weeks and didn't have time to get it checked out. Finally last week took it into my alignment shop and they called me back about a broken tie rod end. I asked them to replace both sides while they were at it. Not sure what may have led to its demise but nonetheless it's new now. @MScruiser thinks it due to mechanic abuse, I don't have an opinion. Check yours out when time allows. Glad it didn't leave me stranded somewhere or worse. Broken one was on the driver side (1st 3pics) passenger side non-broken (2nd 2pics).

Thanx for the post. I'm in the middle of a clunk chase on my suspension, so I will take a hard look at these this weekend during the tear down.

Lights installed and wires routed. Switches arrived yesterday so have to build the harnesses and hook it all up together. Next camp lights and a number of Fourtrecks mounts get installed for awning/hilift/antenna/whip. Winch has also arrived but will likely have the shop do that install.

can't wait for the test drive reviews

Can't wait to test drive it either! We are planning a trip to Barstow for some time in the sand. It may have to wait a few weeks. The Brenthel Bros are doing some pre running of the Baja 1000 course this weekend and I leave next Tuesday for 10 days of elk hunting in MT. I'm anxious to do some shock tuning and stretch her legs! I'll post up reviews and hopefully some video when we do.

Well dang... If I wasn't still stuck in this stupid wheelchair...I'd be trying to invite myself along to Barstow...which isn't so far from me here in San Diego. Be sure and shoot photos and VIDEO! ;)

WOW!! Where were you located when you shot that video?? Is that in Dubai? Awesome! What was your top speed?? It looks fast indeed...

And...Thank you for the kind PM.

This was filmed in early 2015 around January i think. This desert is located around 25 minutes outside of downtown Dubai and crosses state lines in to Sharjah (nieghboring state). Top speed in this video was around 140 km/h (86mph). After 2 shock rebuilds and 1 retune, the best trap speed through the same track was recorded at 176km/h (109.3mph) using a Garmin GPS.

and get back in the driver seat you!

Should I keep or revert the grill?

With the black wheels, sliders, and roof rack, plus the pending bumper as other black accents - what do the masses say?

If you're getting a steel bumper colour code it, as well I think the Toyota logo would look good in salsa red ;)

Man, I just can't decide if that looks awesome or just out of place. Prob better on yours with all the extra black components (rack, wheels). I tried the same thing on my salsa red LC and I couldn't handle it. Ended up selling that exact grille but I plan to mod a factory grill, keeping the chrome outer and adding aluminum mesh in black or dark gray to the gaping hole left by trimming.

I hear ya', saw your post from some time back and wondered if I had a different grill, different trim, different lighting, etc. It's growing on me, but I will not be throwing out the oem. The bumper will be the deciding factor I guess.

You doing a plastidip or vinyl option?

I'll probably just paint the mesh, plan to keep the chrome trim on modded factory grill for the first look then I'm leaning toward plastidip
