Yes please. Want to see what the cut off really looks like.

I'm just curious to see his "good" cutoff. I personally will never run hids in a reflector housing. If I run hids it's gonna be a retro or nothing.

Sent from my GT-P3113 using IH8MUD

So here are three nighttime pics. Pic 1 from inside the truck, the other two don't show what the eye sees as well. IMO, the pattern is a little narrow, but far brighter than the HIR bulbs that were replaced. Glare is still fine from what I can see and having stood in front of the truck 50 and 20yds away.

You don't have to run hid's in a reflector housing. I did, and find that I like what I see.

Dont stand. Bend down to the height of someone sitting in a passenger car and look at the glare. Output looks great but the cutoff is what i expected.

all of that light above your main light concentration is glare that is blinding oncoming traffic. I did the same thing for a while:

before installing the morimoto H1 mini projectors in my truck.

A bunch of us used the conversion kit and there is a great writeup on here, plus one member works there and can talk you through it. It is well worth it IMO.

I think I'll go that route, it looks much sharper.

It seems as if every thread I click on turns into a lighting thread. I'd rather not have that happen. If you decide to purchase a Mini H1 Kit please PM me. I work for The Retrofit Source, and do retrofits for Cruisers, so feel free to contact me if you have any questions. In the mean time, we should continue the discussion over here (https://forum.ih8mud.com/100-series-cruisers/358539-2000uzjs-big-hid-thread-what-where-how.html). This is the most detailed thread on HID's, LED's, halogens, etc. Links to install threads, headlight upgrades, and many other things.

What did I do the the 100 this week? I got hit in the rear at a stoplight. Folded the stock bumper up like a wet towel, and removed a little spray paint (the car that hit me was a dropped 2dr tuner, slid under the rear frame crossmember). The ricer apparently couldn't handle 97HP, I'm not sure I could either...that monstrous 150ft.lbs. of torque must of thrown in back and jammed 2nd gear. It pushed me about 10ft, I was in "D", the transmission took a pretty good jolt, anybody recommend any type of inspection? This will be the 4th rear end collision the 100 has seen with absolutely no damage! Next week I am having ACC chop the rear frame about 4" and weld a plate/hitch back there...I won't be doing SAS soon, this 4" chop is preparing for something big :)

Replaced my OME 865 rear springs with Slee SOF2RH after adding a bunch of weight.

Any Pics before and after? Im in the same boat and would love to see...

I re-mounted my Rhino Rack Pioneer rack in order to haul it down to the powdercoaters to coat it black.

Also working on Shaggys Grp 31 kit I was fortunate enough to snag. Im grinding it smooth/prepping to powdercoat that as well.

Pics to follow once everything is installed, and put back together...

I'm about to do the same (from 866's). How harsh is your ride empty with the new Slee springs?

Is there a slee spring vs OME thread I haven't seen?

Let us know how it is.

My slee front bumper arrived at my office unexpectedly. Received a frantic phone call from the employee entrance person.

I wish a Slee bumper would arrive unexpectedly at my office :(. The coolest thing I get is time share brochures...

Wait till you wrap your head around how Slee designed the adjustments to set it level with the fender.

Very cool. Add a post to the Rhino Rack thread, I'm thinking of doing the same. Interested to see what they do for prep and how the final product looks.

Reindeer antlers and Rudolph nose up. ARB and wreath go on at the end of the week. :grinpimp:

No great before pics to compare with, but the rear went up around a half inch, likely just making up for the sag caused by the added weight on the OME 865s.

The ride feels pretty good (more stable at speeds and over bumps) although I haven't thoroughly tested just yet. Also, I'm not quite empty since I still have the rack, RTT, Hi-Lift, and a bunch of tools in the back. Doesn't feel harsh at all, but I know that can mean different things to different people.

SanDiegoCruiser, you're welcome to drive my truck if you'd like. PM me if you're interested.

Replaced the Monroe shocks with new OEM shocks. Much less bouncy.

Replaced all the door seals with new rubber. That solved the wind noise at the top of the driver's door.

Next up, replaced all the door speaker covers with fabric from Metric TLC.
