Where did you mount the inverter? I just got the same panel and have been thinking about that.

Ya, funny you asked that. I'm still debating where to put it. Right now thinking where the subwoofer used to be might be a good location (I've got a JL Audio sub behind the second row seats).

Swapped out the 150kg load springs for 500kg, the old springs did not like the rear drawer, fridge, steel rear bar and long range tank weight while towing 3000kg

Also changed the rear pads out, they don’t last long when you’re towing heavy in the hills!

Working on the floor in winter sucks! Next place is getting a hoist installed asap!

Changed out the heater tees and replaced all the hoses and clamps with OEM. Previous owner(s) had only replaced the left side and used worm clamps. The right side crumbled when i touched it.

Also replaced upper and lower rad hoses and thermostat with OEM since everything was apart and I did not know what was in there. I found aftermarket thermostat with the jiggle valve in the wrong place. 🤦‍♂️

I love retiring previous owners worm clamps… it’s the simple pleasures in life.

Just threw on a set of Sumitomo 33” AT tires:

After some research I ended up with a better set of tires than what I had with the Falken Wildpeaks.@ $150 each.❤️

These track better in the wet and dry…. (they look really close to my Wildpeaks and come from the same company)

Replaced rear/right/outer brake light as I smashed mine reversing. New one doesn't fit quite so well and sticks out a little, maybe 6mm from the car at the bottom pin, top pin flush and fine. Conscious not to force it too much as I don't want to break the tabs the pins go it (or snap the pins off the light housing). I think things like this are second nature to some experienced car people, but I'm not a skilled mechanic or bodywork specialist in any sense!

One of my front wheel bearing needs some love.

Car's booked in to get steering rack replaced AGAIN. New one fitted 10 months ago, excessive play both sides and leaking. I cheaped-out and bought a non-Toyota one for $800 AUS. I've had a refund and ordered a Toyota rack which was nearly 3x the price I paid for 3rd party one. There's me, thinking I'd get away with a cheaper part. Oh well.

Also realised I have bog standard spark plugs fitted in my v8. Ordered a set of NKG Iridium.

Still searching for the correct window switch for my car.... Toyota quoted me........ $1200 for the switch assembly and even said for "$180 we can fit it for you" :D

I love the cup holder from a function perspective, but I wish it matched the form of the interior better.

Few things recently;

Asfir skids, front and transmission. Note I was able to get the stock transfer case bolted up however it is over the trans skid. I got a 1” whole saw and drilled through the asfir trans skid to get the stock transfer case skid/deflector mounted. I prefer this over the asfir stransfer case skid because there is an additional crossmember on theirs which seems like it would get in the way of functionality. I also drilled 2” holes in the transmission skid. I live in a city so stop and go driving is majority and having the exhaust next to the fuel lines covered by a 1/4 inch piece of aluminum seems like a recipe for something to go wrong, maybe it’s fine but maybe the holes give better ventilation.

Iron man lower trailing arms; These are probably 2x heavier than stock. Way better ride, much more stable while keeping the nice AHC ride. I purchased the uppers but when they arrived they don’t have the AHC bracket so either I cut the old one off and weld it or just replace the stock bushings.

New brakes and rotors all the way around and I also got one of those deep welled cup holders not too long ago, I like it.

Ready for the 3k mile round trip to Crusiers on the Rockies!

Today I finally did the rear upper control arms. Did the lowers last week. Slowly going through the suspension on my 210k truck and replacing all the parts with OEM. Next up will be the LCAs in the front and the tie rod ends.View attachment 3943642
How's bushings? Can't tell from the picture.

Front UCAs and rear upper control arms were pretty shot. The others (shocks, rear LCA) didn’t seem as bad and probably could have gone a while longer.

I’m changing them for peace of mind and for hobby reasons. Zen and the art of Land Cruiser maintenance and all that
