I finally decided I was never going to get around to installing all the parts I have been collecting for the one-hundred and took it over to Mike at MEO to give it a little love.

Short List:

New CVs and hub flanges
New Icon shocks
New Torsion bars
Dif drop
Ekimkeith
Wheels
Tires
Much needed cleaning

Did you also weld on the frame side bracket for the Eimkeith PCK? I’m asking because I just did mine on my 2000 LC and noticed to get to the 110 ft. Lb torque spec the bracket had to suck in a considerable amount and distorted quite a bit. I think its probably fine but it caught me off guard. Here is a picture looking up at the bottom of the frame side bracket. I installed new SuperPro bushings in the Panhard bar and I feel like they are even wider than OEM and it still distorted like this.

Mike (@Fntoy) mentioned the frame side bracket and replaced the bolt with something different. He said that bolt was “no good”. He didn't give me much more detail than that. I didn’t question it considering he is under these land cruisers for a living.

I’d be curious as to what he knows (@Fntoy). I’m not sure how a differnt bolt would change anything. I reached out to Eimkeith on their website but have yet to hear back.

I agree. I could have misunderstood. Sorry, this is what happens when you don’t do the work yourself for a change. I’ll be curious what Eimkeith says.

Picked up a bit of chinesium for a replacement head unit, after a replacement 16 pin to ISO harness landed it hooked up and installed with no real surprises and works straight out of the box with wireless android auto. How long it survives is one to watch, but it was cheap as chips.

In the spirit of an Increasingly bad squeak from the front suspension and the need to go ahead and start giving the front bushings and ball joints (all of them) I went ahead and ordered UCAs, LCA bushings and ball joints, and bushings for the sway bar. Also started getting a squeak out of my front brakes so put those in the cart as well. Not looking forward to digging in, but it’s well needed and overdue.

God speed replacing the LBJ. I hated it so much.

Designed and 3D printed a mount for the new Auxbeam slim switch panel as I wasn’t the biggest fan of the chunky rectangle panels.

Completed my headlight retrofits using bixenon projectors and an Auxbeam light in place of the high beam. Designed and printed an alignment jig and mount to make it happen using stock holes on the rear of the lights.

Also designed and printed an adaptor for my ram mount that lets me charge my phone with a ball-mount MagSafe charger, infinitely more convenient than the regular ram mount holder.

Got in my custom sticker design and slapped it on the bumper.

May I purchase a phone mount from you kind sir?? 😁 that set up looks great!

Pulled the crappy Memphis 300W amp the PO had mounted to the wall with drywall screws. It drove a 10” sealed box woofer that was a quarter second behind. PO also had cut the speaker wires and tied in converters so I had to splice in pieces of wire. All back to stock and the ML system still sounds great.

Before: (at least all the speaker wires are in the same harness)

Finished the navigation delete and installed a Pioneer WT5000NEX head unit. Sounds so good and feels good to finally have A/C back again. Just in time for summer.

Is that a single or double DIN unit? I've been looking at the Kenwood's floating displays.

😂 first time I did it wasn’t so bad but that was years ago and since this latest one ripped recently I could not for the life of me get the new one pressed in as easily.

Been chasing a knocking sound and noticed the torn boots of my UBJs when I replaced the cv axles last month.
Got worse after a trip to Moab and finally decided to try to replace them.
Much like the cv axle replacement, the first one took hours and the second was about 45 minutes after learning what to do/ not do on the second.
Would have been easier if I had pulled the UCA’s so that I had more space but lesson learned.
