Looks great! Glad you were able to mount the Apex Badlands winch in there. I struggled and finally gave up mounting the same winch but in the extreme clearance bumper. Need to look for a winch that is clockable on both sides. Wish I knew this ahead of time.

Basic winch fits, just need to find a place for the control box ;)

Picked up a cheap side-by-side at auction 5 hours away. This thing always tows so much better than the Tacoma did. Engine, brakes, vehicle weight.. much better. 💪

It's got air bags and a brake controller. I love air bags! Had them on the Tacoma as well. Totally worth it even if you don't tow IMO.

Any more info on what type of airbags you are using? Hard to install?

Issues. Rust. Not fun. Inspect your vehicles better.

Had to replace fenders due to the rust underneath creeping its way out. First the steps had to come off, but the very first bolt broke out. That was a trend for yesterday and today. Looks nice with the steps off though. Hope I bought enough spare hardware..

Where did you source the new fenders? Aftermarket or used oem? Thanks!

Painted Oem Parts out of Loveland Co. wasn’t necessarily cheap but I actually lucked out. Paid for the driver side, they sent me the passenger side so when I called they sent my the driver side for free. But all in all a good experience, about 700 for a brand new oem and painted fender.

Cool of them to cover their mistake like that- ~$350 each for two new OEM fenders (painted!) is a pretty great deal.

Should’ve picked this up long time ago. Inexpensive but such a convenience.

Marked it with a sharpie to know it’s locked and all tire deflators are set to 15psi. Now my 15yo daughter can be more involved when we wheel. I enjoy spotting than driving now more than ever.

Finally got around to removing the wood trim and refreshing / fully detailing the dash. Removed trim from all vents and door controls as well. Not too bad with trim removal tools. found a technique that got it up quickly !! Minimal adhesive residue. I used goo gone , followed with chemical guys invisible cleaner.

amazing how a little update makes the interior feel.

Swapped my rear springs to ones with a heavier spring rate (the Eibach HD springs). Was rolling around with a saggy rear end due to the bumper and spare, so finally got my 1" rake back. Used my friend's lift @ his shop. That along with the underhoist stand made life way easier. Plus it's hot outside and my LX doesn't fit in the garage.

Ordered retro stripes from street-race.org. Not an easy install but it’s coming together ok. We’ll see if I can finish installing without screwing up. I feel in a little over my head but it’s just for fun so who cares. Here it is with Red applied, more pics to follow (or not).

I had some thoughts too, about some form of design/stripes. Curious to see the finished product.

I like that Eibach went with a classy metallic silver powder

I’ve definitely seen the tasteful use of color but sometimes yellow, lime green, turquoise, and red don’t always match someone’s build - especially on something like an OEM+ build, those bright colors jump out screaming aftermarket

Undercarriage is Cali clean!
