Local guy built a bumper for me and I feel like I can finally leave this poor truck alone for a minute. I'm very happy with the extra room I'm getting and the ability to carry a spare. It's constructed from 3/16 and bolts to frame and body. I'm worried about the body mount and may remove it but I have some reading to do on it.

The price was insanely lower than the big manufacturers and if you're near Kentucky I really liked working with this guy.

Attempted to get some water out of my headlight. Thought all went well, but I went back out and it's starting to get internally fogged back up.

I dumped out some water, hit it with a blow dryer opened the drain vent then reinstalled and put some new silicone sealant. I haven't ran it or put any water on it. Ideas?

The only way is to open it up (bake it) and reseal it with butyl sealant.

Fitted some Auxito LED parker bulbs, rear reg plate bulbs and replace all the map lights. Just waiting on some festoon replacements. This, I can do.

Not that I'm doing it (lack of skill / tools / competency) but according to the log book my car didn't get a full 200,000km service, just oil and filters. Enquired to a local specialist if he'd do a 200,000km service. He said at 245,000 it was too far past but he'd do a service and give the car a good look over and if any work needs doing, prioritised in order of importance. After spending $20k (AUD..... 14k in US) funds are tight, but I don't want to miss something glaringly obvious that could get fixed now to prevent something catastrophic down the line. I have spent plenty of time looking at the engine from above and below, looking for leaks or seapage / splashes and after nearly 2 months I'm not seeing anything concerning so at least it looks like I made a reasonable purchase.......

It is not visually obvious, however…
At your mileage, the biggest item on the preventive maintenance service schedule is to regrease/ repack the front wheel bearings special service.

Do not ignore this one.

Always hard wired the fridge into solar but went the easy route this time. It's also more practical and probably works better. Cleaned the throttle body, changed the plugs, and cleaned the MAF. Truck was already running smooth but figured some cleaning never hurts.

Do you have your Jackery wired to solar? If so, where did you run the wire into the cabin?

I’m about to mount a solar panel on my roof rack and run it to my Jackery to power the fridge and looking for advice where to run the wire into the back of the cabin.

Nope. I have a portable panel for the jackery though. I don't want to run fixed solar anymore because whenever I park to camp I'm in the shade. With the portable panel I can park in the shade and move the panel into the sun.

Installed trim kit for console, etc. Didn’t do around radio, that was still good, so you can use that for a comparison to OG factory. New air vent trim and window switch panel trim. Wooddash.com was my source.
Fitment around the console was a little bit of an issue. The cut out for the console piece as a hole was a bit too wide, but I made it work.

Each time my new parts arrive i feel like a 6 yr old boy receiving a gift of a big box of legos. Is that normal?

Anyway this time its for the rear brakes:

Mechanically done. Will do electrics during the week.
All in all it went fine, but drilling a straight hole was my problem 😂
Also don‘t like the stainless bolts and will swap them out with yellow zinc ones.

How long did it take for delivery on your dissent roof rack? I’ve been waiting for about 19 weeks now :(

Pulled the starter. Cleaning the valley to get ready for a new one.

For when you are glad you decided to do some preventative maintenance before a trip.

Pulled the intake plenum as a single unit. I'll do a drop in with clean and polished parts that started out on the LX470.

Brake rotors, calipers and pads.
Slee stainless steel brake lines.

LC AHC springs, AirLift 60728 bags, and Slee 30mm spacers.

Parking brake has meat on it left so cleaned it and will replace when I do pads again.

Rear upper/lower control arms were done 5k miles ago.

I'm jealous, I ordered mine with the lights but didn't have the cutouts for the lights (or mounting plate for the inside) so I have to cut those myself. Looking good.
