I need to replace my parking brake cable. Been procrastinating, how hard was it?
It wasn't too bad. The most time consuming part is taking the center console apart. Their is one bolt that is under a corner of the gas tank and it was kinda a pain to get off and back on too.

What p/n was that seal? The ones I’ve found on the Toyota parts websites say they don’t fit my 05. Thank ya!
This is the part I used. It was a little longer than I needed but I didn’t trim it.

Been a long with work, but did a get a chance to do the following .

I think I finally identified the source of my leak in the rear cargo area after sealing the third brake light twice (3m weather-strip adhesive and then butyl rope) and it was not coming from the third brake light or at least isn't anymore. It seems to be coming from the hatch seal weather-stripping and i have ordered a replacement from Mcgeorge that hopefully should come this week. I cant wait to put carpeting back in and have 3rd row installed for the first time as an owner.

Broke the nut that attaches the 3rd row seatbelt on driver side, going to have to figure that out another day. Might need the nut rewelded

Added one of these because my noob self ran my never-before-used winch line straight off the drum weekend before last, trying to stretch how far I could get it to go.

What a TREMENDOUS pain to get the line through that second time, inside the bumper, with my chub arms, though. 😅 Hopefully it helps it stay.

I got around to some peace of mind maintenance so I can make the most of 2023. Aisin timing belt kit with water pump, thermostat, cam seals, front crank seal, fan bracket, serpentine idler pulley and new alternator. Also got the new Tuff Stuff Alpha RTT mounted. 201k miles on the clock and running perfect!

I did an HID retrofit on my '01. WOW! My lights are bright. Thanks to all the folks who have gone before and detailed the how to. It was easier than i thought it would be. Should have done it years ago. It's nice to have light. Makes driving at night a lot of fun.

Love the retrofit- what kind of projectors did you use? Looks great.
Uses the Morimoto Micro D2S 5.0 from The Retrofit Source. I used this parts list from @robgv
Except I couldn't find the early style glass depo headlights anywhere, so I just used my originals. @jerryb has a great wire harness and was super helpful.

How much did this retrofit cost? I'd say it's money we'll spent regardless!

It was a Saturday of work plus about $540.

Guess this weekend I get to crawl around and try to figure out where this spot came from. It’s weird. Doesn’t seem to come from the fill hole, may just be a random spot of grease that plopped there. It’s about time I changed the diff oil anyhow.
