Took mine to West Plains MO to visit Jason Harris at Ozark Overland Outfitters for regearing 4L to Sumo 3.1:1 (25%) reduction and new seals. It's ready today. Jason keeps his word on timing. I'll go pick it up tomorrow. Jason also did the 7-pin mod.

I'm sure it enjoyed spending the week with the Cruisers and 4Runner in the picture. I see some well-known yotas.

Mine is the white on tan on the left. The Taco in the picture is a little 5VZ sportster with a slightly wider stance. It can take winding roads like a sports car.

Kind of!

Sometimes garden hose and water has a limited effect on removing crud on the frame on tar-like dirt and mud. Used motor oil on blue paper towel suspends dirt really well.

Finally got my WKOR step sliders (0 degrees, DOM, full top plates, powder coated).

As I began prepping for installation, I started looking around and thought it might be best if I removed the rest of the AHC hardware while I still had some room to work. Needless to say, this took up my entire day. My 12mm ratchet wrench was a lifesaver. Only had to saw off one line.

The install of the sliders was a piece of cake. I used a jack and jackstands. Overall, I’m extremely satisfied…the 7 week wait time was worth it. Plus, the top plates already had non-skid on them. I had no clue.

Had the heater Ts and steering wheel tilt motor replaced this week. I supplied the parts, so I know I’m getting genuine stuff.

Good news - I can now see my instrument cluster without bending my head down while driving! Bad news - now the auto tilt and telescope feature is working and I find that annoying. So, next up is Techstream so I can disable that feature.

I did the thing and disabled that "feature" on TS as well. Soooooo much nicer not having the wheel do that dance and hearing the motor run. Now all I hear is the antenna motor which makes me want to replace it with one of those modern style short rubber dongle thingies.

Procrastinated for too long, decide to take some days off to take care of the truck. Some parts were ordered many many month ago. Just never get the time to put them on.

In past two weeks,

• transmission fluid replacement.
  • Old transmission fluid has turned black, definitely needs change
• Coolant replacement
  • Coolant still looks good
• Power Steering fluid flush
  • use Toyota ATF WS
• Replace CV Axle
  • Cardone 66-5185HD
• Replace Brake master assembly
  • new one from Toyota
  • Change brake pad
  • Change brake hose
• Engine oil change
  • Mobile 5W-30 Synthetic
• Valve cover gasket change
• Changed all 8 spark plug
• Changed Telescopic motor
  • ordered from UAE, $100 cheaper
• Changed the AC evaporator cover to accept air filter
  • Clean the air blower motor. It was very dirty.

I think the amount of labor I saved is about the half of the cost of truck now.

2004 LC with 190K. Hope it is ready for another 100K.

finally replaced my broken flex plate... i drove like this for about four months with no problems

First time pulling a 100 series trans, super easy. Nice and quiet again. Also replaced my rear main seal which was still bone dry at 330k miles, I have no idea how they last so long on 2UZ's. You can't get a 1FZ to go 150k before it starts pissing.

I"ve been attempting to baseline my 07 LX over the past month.

Change all diff/transfer case fluids
Change transmission fluid
Change plugs
Grease drive shafts
Change oil and filter to Amsoil Signature 5w30
Air filter change
Clean MAF sensor
New AC condenser

Had an outer CV boot finally fail after 221k miles. Getting parts together to rebuild the front end. Inner/ outer TRE's en route, too.

Pulled the recently installed 863J springs and went with 863. J's Just didn't settle down to my liking. The ride was good, but felt too tall to me. Regular 863's seem like a good ride height for me.

Eibach shocks are feeling really good. Completely changed the ride.

Just returned from West Plains MO. I love this mod.

1) I can crawl. 4L in 1st has a top speed of 10 MPH before I start revving higher than I like. I will be able to descend rocky ledges at a crawl speed without braking.
2) 4L is now just another gear ratio. I will control CDL through the CDL button.
3) I can use 2nd start in 4L if I need more speed for take-off in 4L.
4) I'm not noticing an abnormal whine in 4L.
5) I can now cut short on switchbacks in 4L without CDL binding.
6) 4H has fewer driveline vibes than it had before the mod. This may be due to a new rear bearing. I had slammed the driveshaft a few times before the rear seal started leaking. Net gain produced a quieter TC than before the upgrade.
7) New seals - no leaks.

I think Jason did a great job!
