My DIY roof rack project is now in full swing. Used 1/4” MDF bender board to get the shape i wanted and transferred the shape over to 1/4” 6061 aluminum plate. I don’t have a band saw so i busted out the jigsaw with some metal blades and some Mobile one synthetic to help with the cutting. Now sand the edges to match and then mark out the holes for the crossbars. View attachment 2921936
Never thought of that. I changed out the rear diff and transfer case fluids on my '07 LX, but could not get the front diff's plugs out with the 10mm hex socket. I'll go back and try this trick and see if it helps any.
For one of the front diff plugs, I think the fill plug, it's easiest to reach thru from the wheel well with a long drift or bar, like a socket extention, and give it a whack that way.
Finally got the alternative rear wiper arm. Took almost two months to get here so I'm stoked to finally have it. Thanks @OEMGUY0720 for the ideaView attachment 2942098
Im actually starting my own DIY rack tomorrow. I have a new RTT and its HEAVY. The stock cross bars arent going to cut it. Im going to try and use the existing stock rails though. We shall see.

No big doings on the 1D2 girlly girl. Got off work early and knocked out the running board delete. Passenger side lines in the way, made me get up and look for 1/4” drive swivel stuff, but no biggie. Cleaned out the debris hiding behind the fender liner, who knows how long it’s been there. 100% on board with free modifications.
Took the 9 hr round trip drive, and brought it home. Spent about 2 hrs giving it a good look through, couldn’t find a lift since I’m not from the area, so did a dope deal at the quick lube nearby to use their bay to get a look at the chassis. All in all pretty stoked with it so far, definitely a blast from the past with the 6 disk changer and cassette tape deck

I did the exact same thing 9hr trip to the city. Found the love of my life, had been sitting in a plumbing supplier warehouse for 2 years doing nothing.
Lift - that undercarriage looked fine. The exhausts are like that by now. If I had to do a roadworthy check, that would probably need renewing.
No need for stacker this is the 2020s , look for a FLAC or High Quality player that takes storage (USB/SD card). My Joying has a sick DSP and made full utilisation of the previous owners Pioneer system. He had it playing MP3s and it sounded like turd until I put that it in. Complete transformation in audio quality.
I like it, i didn’t want to buy an actual drill press (i do want but not in my budget) I’m 5’7” and using it on my work bench was awkward so i moved it down to the ground and got more leverage to push down. Can’t beat the price for $36 at Home Depot
