It’s not been done yet, but I’ve been talking with Luke at 4x4Labs about why my order has taken so long. Turns out they’ve adjusted and tweaked the 100 series front bumper design. My bumper kit should be shipping out in the next few days, and I just bought the Ironman 4x4 12K pound winch with synthetic line to go in the bumper. Can’t wait to get this thing in and welded up.

Noticed I was running hot, climbed 210f, just going across town and sitting in a drive thru.
So I flushed the coolant with Toyota Pink. Got approx. 3 gal. out by draining rad & opening up the ds drain block. Failed on. the ps couldn't get my socket on.
Also replaced the thermostat with oem.

First off many thanks to @srvn4u and @Comet

Finally pulled the trigger on a rear bumper for my 2004 LC, ordered from Dobinsons. They said it would take about three weeks, still is not here, but with things being what they are I’m sure it’s out of their control. The customer support from Dobinsons was excellent, very responsive and helpful. Srvn4u had his rear bumper from Dobinsons sitting in his garage waiting on the front ball bar that still isn’t here also from another vendor. So he generously gave me his rear bumper which we installed with the understanding that he would take mine when it gets here. As already noted on this forum the instructions are horrible but the product is amazing. Fit and finish were perfect and I couldn’t be happier. Also the price point I have found is much better than many other options from other vendors. First attempt at wiring with @Comet did not go so well, tried to use the trailer wiring harness. Many beers later we quit about midnight, I looked at it again and following day and decided to tie into the rear lights which went much better. Everything works great and I am back on the road. Wavian Jerry cans for fuel and water ordered. Will relocate the tag with lights this week, will use the feed from the trailer wiring harness for that light. Initially thought I would drill the bumper and add the trailer hookup but on second thought will just mount under and see how that goes. After selling my trailer I don't have much need for it. Any suggestions on mounting the hi-lift would be great.

@1428Mike Thank the good lord you didn’t get any beef cake pictures of us crawling under the rig. Beer? I remember bourbon in there somewhere too. Looks great and it actually works after you took out all my hack work! Very nice sir! Now on to Relic Run for a shake down.

Do you know how much the bumper weighs? I have one. I don't recall the weight. I know it looks heavier than it actually is.

I think the bumper with empty swing arm is about 225lbs.

Thank you. I removed the spare tire mount and some of that apparatus that supported the spare. If I have it I need to weigh it. The net weight increase for me was less than 225lbs.

Did you run power to the Jerry can holder for license plate relocation? If so how did you do it?

Not yet. I think I can tap into one of the tail light wires that is on when the lights are on.
Well, I think I have the power solution figured out. I am pulling power from the trailer wiring harness with a ground. Just need a cleaner looking solution that allows the swingarm to function. I will be at Relic Run in North Carolina next weekend, lots of land cruiser brains to pick there.

Let us know how it turns out. My trailer wiring harness and controller was a mess. I had to remove it to keep from blowing fuses. I will need to run new wires.

I just tapped into a taillight so that the license plate hanger light only comes on when the lights are on.

Cool !! Take a deep breath and go for it !

Finished with the rear bumper build and wiring. Pretty happy with the solution for the license plate light, used the marker light from the trailer wiring harness for the power. Ran the wire up through the bumper, attached the line to the underside of the swing arm, looks pretty clean. All of the wiring is shielded and secure.

A quick tip, they don’t make drills like they used to. I always use a self tapping screws to start any drilling in metal. They just seem to cut through like butter. Always have a few boxes on hand, different sizes.
