Finally got new OEM CV's installed as well as outer tie rods this past weekend. At the same time since I was in there, replaced the output front diff T oil seals.. Just a reminder, they are two different part numbers...

I'll work on inner tie rods and ball joints when I can find the time....

Is it just me or is that a damn fine picture?

I haven’t had time for much of anything other than work lately but I did make and install a second drawer with HDPE slides. I like the no slides slides a lot better! Way lighter too. Covered in outdoor carpet and capped with some aluminum angle. Nothing fancy but it will hold me over until I actually make something better and lighter. The small drawer takes up the space not filled by my table behind it.

Also attached a longer hose for my pressurized water system so I can leave the container in the second row footwell and have water in the back where I cook. Routed the tube through aluminum square tubing attached to the bottom of my drawers. Not perfect but it works better. Need to find a better hose as this one gets stiff in the cold. Also left a service loop by the container so it can drop to the ground as I gravity fill it by hanging my filter from my load bars on the roof.

Started welding my Rouge Fab bender so I can finish up my bumper and build some sliders. Hit a snag I need to call Rouge about but excited regardless!

Took the old gal to the scales the other day while out on a trip and we are 115lbs over GVW! Crazy as we don’t carry much stuff and my rig certainly isn’t “built”. Be on the lookout for two Crashpad double swags for sale this spring as we are going lighter on the tent yet again! Likely going to a HMG Ultimid 4 with full insert. 3.2 lbs vs 82 for the swags. Granted it will be another 4 lbs with 4 sleeping pads but still shaving a lot of weight. I just don’t understand how GVW can be had by a family of 4 plus a dog!

That is a really good looking set up, I was on the fence about the full extension slides as well, I went with a very simple solution of using two strips of plywood and a generous amount of bowling alley wax to keep them smooth. Fitment is tight and I saved over $300 by not buying the full extension slides.

not sure what you are asking. I installed it myself, I give it 2.5/10 bananas. The winch was on sale for $450ish and the plate was like $475 shipped.
Difficulty level of installing and wiring up the winch. Seems like everyone has a preference for where to mount the control box.

This is the wireless version of the Apex and there is enough room to leave it attached to the winch when you install it. You just attach the ground from the wireless controller to the ground on the winch and then run the +/- wires up to the battery, It came with the perfect amount of cable.
I have a general write up here

Nice! That’s how drawers have been made forever right? I’m going to order more UHMW plastic strips and wax the opposing surface as well. The first time I picked up a set of heavy duty slides my first reaction was “nope!”. It’s just crazy how heavy they are!

Also something I considered were the adhesive sheets/tape that are Teflon or UHMW that are marketed for wood on wood drawer slides, etc.

I had the same question, I have been looking at these at least the ones on the long range America website. Brand I was looking at was Kaymar for about $1000. We need a full review with more pictures and overall thoughts on the quality, fitment and any other issues you ran into. Much appreciated, looks really good.
As poorly produced as expected!

Nice video. I've always liked those minimalist tire mounts.

By "poorly produced", are you referring only to the quality and completeness of the instructions?

I’m about to tackle this myself. Also going to be putting in new LBJs and nitro gear UCAs.

Both the Kaymar instructions and the video! Video was never meant to be a full how to. I'll let Kaymar or LRA spend the time and money on that.

Well your video was very informative.

Would have liked to have seen how it swings out and the trunk lids opens and closes for a reference on clearance. Either way, I think I would definitely add this to my list of future mods.

Well the hardware that came with my OME front LCA reinforcement braces has been driving me crazy. Thick washer, lock washer, and hex head screw all sticking down out of the LCAs... (pretty sure I installed as per instructions...)
Here’s the reinforcement kit—Cruiser outfitters is practically giving these away, but don’t have photos linked...

Today I bought 4x M10 x1.5 x 25 button head screws and some washers and nylock nuts.

I like it—much lower profile.

Original hardware configuration vs new below retained the thick washers as they’re a bigger diameter than the 10mm ones I scored at the hardware store....

I cleaned the battery terminals with battery cleaner then replaced the broken positive battery terminal making sure cleaning all the terminals and connectors +/- with wire brush. Then put on battery terminal protector. Dont have a pic yet but i'll put it up when I get it..

BTW I got the + battery terminal at Walmart for $3.50ish. I know its Non oem but it was more beefy than the broken one I replaced.
