Replaced a ball joint boot, about an hour in and out (00 LX470). Took care of the squeak, did a close inspection to make sure there wasn’t any metal shavings. Not sure if this was the right move but it was the path of least resistance. Thoughts on doing this over replacing whole joint welcomed.

If no vertical play in the joint, then should be fine.

my truck has questionable paint so i cut as best i could last weekend. this weekend i micro polished it and ceramic coated it. it’s not perfect but the truck looked like s*** before so this is like having the truck repainted.
That turned out great! My LS was rough too I finished it up today, 4runner next then I get to do the 100 series.

@blackohio. Truck looks great. What spare tire carrier are you using?

@blackohio . Are you happy with the carrier? Like the way it functions? Any slop in the receiver hitch?

Ya. Just looked them up. Looks super solid and nice. Pricey though. $$$

Moved my backup light. Running the wires though the ladder tube was fun, but worth the effort.

This is what I do for a living, black or any dark color will always be my favorite to work on.
