Is that the parking lot behind Thirsty Isle? I recognize the roof and the Boeing building in the background lmao!

I'm in Long Beach too, I actually work for Epson, right down the street from there. My colleagues and I frequent ST Noodle Bar, LV SEafood, and Vino E Cucina all the time (er used to) for lunch.

Haha oh no I've been found! Yes it is. I've had a dozen Toyota trucks and I always go there to test out new set ups lol.

Awesome to find a local! My close buddy has an 80 series. Would be cool to hit some trails with other cruisers.

Yeah man, keep me in the loop! Let me know if you ever need a printer or anything :D

Planned just to do an oil change, add a fumoto valve and replace heater Ts today, but also had to do some minor bodywork.

First week with her drivers license, daughter provided some excitement. We pulled the bumper cover off, spent about 90 minutes with heat gun and rubbing compound. Reinstalled - close enough for me.

Found some plasti dip leftover from a motorcycle project. Decided to paint my new(used) roof box. Didn’t really have enough so it’s a bit thin in spots, but luckily it’s high enough no one is looking too closely, haha.

Mounted the new F5 wheels and Cooper MTP tires. Finished up the new radiator and reran some wiring for the front eLocker.

The F5s give it a wider stance with the +10 offset. I

Ok I know I'm driving mud tires at low speeds. On the highway, the MTPs have less noise than the Nitto Terra Grapplers. I'm happy with the way it drives and handles on the highway.

I would like to have a 3" lift in the rear with a 2" in the front. Maybe next weekend I can install a drop diff kit that I ordered from TT to start working on the lift.

Another useful reminder for folks with aftermarket stereos that have a "speed" input wire, specifically on the pre-03 models.

Behind the glovebox, there is a large ECU. It has 5 plugs. The 2nd from the bottom is E8. Tap the violet wire in pin 15 for your speed input for your head unit.

Not my discovery, but just passing it on as I found the info in this forum today and it was very helpful for me.

I love those wheels, I wish they made them in 18s!

Pretty busy last couple of weeks finally addressing everything. Basically ended up refreshing the whole front end with:

SPC upper control arms
555 LBJ
555 tie rod kit inner and out that ended up being a whole steering rack replacement
Rebooting CV boots
TT diff drop, sway bar extensions
New brake rotors and pads
Sliders and a rattle can paint job
New wheels and tires and once it was all buttoned up my starter went out.

I learned how to replace everything from this forum/community. Time to enjoy the rig

Drove out to the hills and played in the mud. No challenges in mud or on the hills.
