ARB 2500x2500 on factory rack with some Aluminum brackets I fabbed up this morning

Last weekend did plugs, cleaned MAF, cleaned TB, changed air filter. This morning changed T's, wasnt really concerned about them but glad i did it cause they didnt look good. Also changed fuel filter today, dont think it was necessary but it got done. Im at 140k, pretty much solid on maint. at this point.

Finished up my exhaust today, and as per @bozncsurf and a few other members requests, here's a video of all three systems:

A crappy in-cabin with my cell phone:

And a couple of pics (I'll crawl under there later when I get time). Don't mind the mess, I gotta clean her up but when it's 10 degrees outside, it's kind of a pain.

@landylover21 youre the man!

From the comparison video it sounds like you maintained the deep throaty sound of the original DT cat back (outside the cabin).

The inside cabin video sounds considerably better under hard acceleration compared to what I was used to experiencing.

I think one of the biggest benefits you pictured was the new exhaust exit - bringing the tip out from under the car has to help prevent trapping the sound / resonance under the truck contributing to the undesirable drone.

From an offroad concern it looks like your hitch should help with protecting the exhaust tip.

Thank you for taking the time to record, edit, and share the videos.

GREAT job on that video, VERY helpful thank you for your efforts!

FINALLY installed the ebay-knockoff TJM-style snorkel during the unseasonably warm week we had. Still need to finish connecting the snorkel to the airbox, some issues there but otherwise looks and fits very good:

Oh, and need to grind that "Power Ful" off and slap a cool sticker on there ;)

Lots more details in the thread: TJM Knockoff snorkel fitment

Truck sounds great, in both clips.

I thought dirt was deathly afraid of you and your truck.

Not a problem guys!

Yeah @bozncsurf, I have a theory that the whole recess that the spare tire sits in acted as an amplifier and as the soundwaves bounced off the ground it went helter skelter in that area... Plus, the cargo area is all open with open body cavities that like to sing in harmony at certain frequencies if your exhaust is loud enough ;) I kind of wonder what it'd sound like if I just extended the pipe out like that, but with no resonator... Damnit, now I'm curious but I have a feeling the drone would still be there.

Anyway, I'm happy with the result and can wholeheartedly recommend someone add a resonator and tailpipe extension if they have a DT catback if it's just a tad too loud or drony for their taste, but still want to retain that V8 sound with the extra burble at WOT!

Well, in the Northeast it's virtually impossible to keep a clean rig in the winter! Haha, I try though :p

@LXColorado nice first come-back post. Definitely worth a sore back.

Do you have a build thread?

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, man!

I don't have a build thread. I'm on the fence about it. I'd love to have my own thread here, but I haven't done anything unique, IMO, that would warrant it. Everything I've done to my LX has been done before - maybe not in this exact combination, but for sure individual parts.

@LXColorado i guess you could say your build thread is out there .. Just in pieces here and there in multiple threads.

I've watched your LX transition from stock to (if I recall correctly) - 16's, to tundra trd's, snorkel and the incident with the hot pipe for the antenna, red pin stripes, ARB and now the Slee.

Are you still running the AHC? If so how's it handling the weight?

Do you have a winch?

We all appreciate, learn, and enjoy when any of us posts. Thanks for taking the time.

I appreciate the kind words! It's been a wild and fun ride building the LX - and one hell of a learning curve! I'll see if I can locate all of the necessary pictures for a cohesive build thread.

I've actually never owned it with AHC lol. Part of the agreement to me buying from the dealer was them swapping it to full Old Man Emu, because the AHC was broken. So I couldn't answer on how it would handle the weight. If I had to guess, with everything I've thrown on/in it, it's approx. +1000 lbs.

Winch and Gamiviti roof rack are up next!

@LXColorado That was good negotiating on the OME lift.

Don't feel like you have to make a build thread on my behalf. I was just saying that posting in general is a cool thing. And I wouldn't say that your build is average by any means.

I'd be interested in what winch you're favoring - I've been looking ever since I went to check out @maxse01 in person and he had a beast of a Warn 12k lb.

Been looking at anything from entry level to the zeon series. There's a big range in price as well as quality.

^^Sharp looking rig! Need some 33's now to make it pop.

Took her to the mountain to get some fresh country air, almost a mile above sea level and she ran like champ. Nearing sunset, the ray hits the pearl in the vinyl wrap and make it look awesome.
