Came from Pennsylvania. Probably started as a scratch and then grew from there.

Never seen the movie. Is it about rust? Haha
That's not from a scratch. I have seen several up here in WI/ Northern IL that were this bad.

That's from the third brake light seal being bad and allowing salt water to drain into the cavities of the upper tail gate. Then all this salt water just sits along the bottom edge of the upper gate and eventually develops into rust. The small drain holes can also get clogged over time and the latch seal is made out of a sponge-like material which holds water only making the problem worse and accelerating the rusting process.

I would highly recommend spraying the inside of the replacement hatch with a body cavity wax (Wurth makes a good one) or something like Amsoil MPHD. Even Fluid Film will work well since it's a low splash area but it won't last as long and will require re-application every couple 2-3 years.

Finally had my engine run rough and flashing check engine light. I've put so much into this in terms of time, I just pulled over and took her to the side so I could order some coil packs. Didn't want to risk it by even trying anything.

Kudos to the folks on this site that have shared all their experiences, i was able to order some coil packs(OEM) cheap and get them in a day or so and had that puppy installed and fixed in 48 hours. THANK YOU for all the experts that share their wisdom!

Same here. After reading all the posts it seemed so likely to be a coil pack problem that instead of checking plugs or injectors, I just ordered the Denso with one day shipping from Amazon and was back in business. Thanks for all the great info!

I just had to replace my positive battery terminal again. I ended up going with a heavier Marine terminal

Guys.

I was proposed to over the holidays by this person called @beno

No ring. He instead ordered 590 lbs. worth of Slee pallets to be delivered to Toyota on Wednesday. Toyota is lending me a car so they can have fun installing the Slee rear and ARB front.

Pictures later this week. Can't wait!
