Good luck with that! I pulled mine off a couple of months ago and it's an argument every time we go somewhere together... I'm saving up for some sliders to calm the anger, haha!

I'm having the same issue! I told my wife I thought about removing my running boards and she threatened to never ride in it if I did (lol). She and other small children/adults we lug around have quite a tough time climbing inside as-is, but it's more of an issue with our moms (more concerned about them). I noticed that a lot of the aftermarket sliders out there are tucked up pretty high. Any sliders out there that are step-friendly front and rear for the vertically challenged?

We have two little ones in car seats and my wife is 5'3".

After lifting, 315s, and no running boards... she requested sliders that could be used as steps.

I found a White Knuckle DIY slider kit for $125 and a buddy in Austin helped me weld them up.

They were set up with low pitch so she could use them as steps. Our three year old is able to use it to comically climb in the back on his own.

Any tips on what you used to remove the residue marks from the "fender flares?" I've got similar marks, but they look like they might've gone through my clear coat. Did you us a eraser wheel on an random orbital? Perhaps a more aggressive cutting compound and pad than I'm using? Wet sanding?

Truck looks super clean, btw.

Thanks,
Jon

The 3m eraser wheel will get all the gunk off. However I have faint lines through the clear and in some spots down to bare metal.

My truck is on the lighter side of the paint spectrum, so the lines blend a bit better into the paint than a darker color.

All I have done is use some light cutting compound. Claybar and hand wax.

When I first took the fenders off I freaked out. But it's not that bad. If you are having trouble, take it to a reputable detailer.

Also I'm having a friend paint the bottom of both rear doors as well as both rocker panels. It was to bare metal there. That's $600 alone, with the friend discount! So I guess do what you can with what you got, and protect your paint.

Turned 145,625 today - the only reason this number means anything is that when I took delivery of the truck exactly 1,050 days ago it had 95,625 miles on it, so I've put 50k on it in the 34 months I've had it. Man, I love this truck.

Loaded up my son's LC and drove it (and my son) ~560mi to college.

We discovered that 4 large U-Haul boxes (18x18x24 each, 36x36x24 total) are a perfect fit, with the 3rd row installed (but stowed), and the 2nd row up:

I've never seen a grille like that. Aftermarket? Custom?
had the system redone in the hundy. have the mids and tweets installed in that box above the factory speaker location.

The thread is called "What have you done to your 100 Series this week" but I haven't actually done it yet. Shooting for tomorrow if I can get the other honey do's out of the way!

Just got my Trail Tailor sliders back from the powder coater. Love 'em, can't wait. Thanks @reevesci!!

Those look awesome! Can't wait to get mine.

Best news I've heard all weekend! Guess it's time to go to the store to pick up some POR15 and spray on bedliner....oh, and rip off the old running boards.

I had a funny noise when I got turbo pressure, found out the gasket for the inlet manifold was leaking.

Replaced it today, together with new injection lines since I had to take them off anyway.

After searching for a split boot kit to carry for trail repair with no luck I threw this together. I have one boot complete and split down the side. The second is also split but the mounting ends removed. So the idea is complete split boot on first with the modified boot on top of it siliconed and zip tied on.

Finished up my Owl Expedition Media Mount. Works great, hardly any movement with my Ipad attached. While I was in their, also got the VAIS SL3B for the stereo installed. What an improvement. I also got my KP Antenna mount fro m Yodabeast installed. Turned out good.
