Got hit by a big object on the freeway dented
The headlight filler pretty good and cracked the grille... Thought it was a good time to upgrade the look by installing a 2003-2005
Grille...And of course while I was in there I cleaned the AC condenser/ Tranny cooler ;)

Well who ever knew the old turn signal brackets from back in the motorcycle days would come in handy?

I was able to repurpose (read free) a Suzuki turn signal bracket into a mount for my MagCharger base.

It needed to be able to rest the tail of the the light on the carpet b/c the Mag mount likes to rattle. I had already removed the third row seat belts because I hope to get drawers before the year is up. Just drilled out the single hole in the turn signal bracket and used the pre-existing bolt to secure it. Had some smaller hardware in the shed.

Goal is when the drawers are put in I can remove everything and install the MagCharger base in a new place.

Also I have a second MagCharger in the house so I needed to be able to take the base inside if needed.

And of course of those who know who Gene Malkoff is it's his Cree XM-L2 light engine in the MagCharger, :D

At 269,000 miles to prep for the annual trip from Sacramento, CA to Winter Park, CO...
  • Rebuilt master cylinder & flushed/bleed the lines
  • Flushed power steering
  • Replaced steering rack grommet and bushing washers
  • Put Yoko Geolandar A/T G015 (265/75 16) on the four corners
  • Cleaned AC evap & replaced cabin air filters
And averaged 60mph and 15mpg during the 1,150 haul out here, following the speed limits (even the 80mph ones!).

Second leg of our trip home from vaca after a night in Grand Junction. Took the 550 through Ouray and Silverton. I'll be putting up a full trip report in my thread in the next few days. Amazing drive, wish we had more time to explore. That will be for another day soon.

Sadly one of only about 3 pics of my rig during our 2 week, 3300+ mile trip. Oh well...

Coal Bank Pass.

Finally had some free time Saturday afternoon so decided to run down to Wanette Oklahoma and check out Soggy Bottom Trails. This is what rural Oklahoma is all about! They built a bar next to the river! We had quite a bit of rain recently so I left the water crossings to the mud trucks running tractor tires..

Did you go p-metric or LT? I'm considering the G015 as my next set of tires. How do you like them so far?
I went P this go-round. Felt wonderful on the highways and weren't too harsh on the rocky shortcut trails even at 40psi.
So far, these are the best tires I've put on the beast in the 19 years he's been in my garage.

Would you mind posting a photo of them on your cruiser? I'm considering that tire as well.

He's bit dusty, but no bath until we get back home this weekend.

Camped out for opening weekend on a local river, solo drawer worked perfectly!
