I recently scored some Tundra 18's brand new from a dealership with new Dueler tires for $450. The tires will get swapped out with BFG KO2s this spring/summer.

View attachment 1426682 I am on my second key, both have broken into 2 or 3 pieces over 6 years, usually when I lend my cruiser to my brother or father...

I also had 2 spare keys cut, one for camping in the middle of no where that I cable tie to a place under the cruiser that I can easily find but that is not easily seen, and not near any moving parts... but when camping and packing away the tent I forgot them in the tent pocketand fully loaded cruiser with keys packed away ... sent me underneath to retrieve my 3rd key...

The other I have been using till I get my main set sorted... I usually clip my keys to my belt clip... that got caught and ripped the belt clip today and my keys fell to the floor...
After that I could not start the cruiser and even after locking and waiting 15 mins a couple times I still failed...

I think the little chip broke inside the Lexus key... My spare camping key is no where to be found so the cruiser is parked on the farm

Is there keys out there that are as tough as the cruiser??? Anyone else have these problems?? Any one have a solution?

Not sure if this is exactly what you want, but excuse me while I toot my own horn... so to speak. You'll want to find a remote internal piece that still works on your car(the part with the buttons) and then use a regular hard key (plain metal or one of the nicer "transponder keys").

Removed the hokey plastic fake wood grain crap from my window controls on the doors and shifter surround, I still need to get the area around the controls done , I'll get that asap but to me it looks MUCH better.

What if anything have you done suspension wise? Truck looks very level!
All stock w/ AHC. It is in "high" ... posing for the pics. It still has the factory rake - haven't messed with torsion bars (yet). Probably a combination of camera angle and my driveway.

Thanks! Looks great though....posing or not haha!
Thanks, man - appreciate the compliment. Sliders on order from Mike at BIOR and bumpers next. Getting ready for HIH7 ... she's coming along.

Sweet! Might not be necessary but for strength I would probably plate the frame where you are going to attach to, and maybe add a third arm.
I was thinking a third arm two but have read that it's not that necessary. Plating was on my list too but wasn't sure if having a gusset on each arm would be enough

I would reach out to a couple of the vendors on here for some advice. They have built many sliders that have taken more beatings than most would think they could withstand, and yet I haven't heard of a single failure from theirs. Just a thought, it never hurts to take advice from the pros!:)

A third arm would be ideal if you can fit it but not 100% needed.
I would however add plates to the frame, a 3/16" dimond shape frame plate would be ideal but square on 3 sides and triangulated on the
Top will work as well.
I'm not sure if your AHC is still in use but you may want to keep in mind removal or repair with welded sliders may not be possible depending on out rigger location.
Hope this helps.

Yes took AHC into account... looking to get rid of it soon so I didn't want to screw myself. Sounds like the plates to the frame is prob the smartest option so I'll do that too. Thanks everyone for your advice.

Christmas in March has arrived. WKOR sliders with full top plate. They made them at a 10 degree angle for a better step. Skipping the gym this morning and headed to the hardware store for some primer. Still debating but I'm 99% sure I'm going to paint them "anthracite" color to match my wheels. Any thoughts?

if you plan on using them, make sure they are easy to do touch up work. I don't do any rock crawling down here in south florida, but I do use them, and it helps being able to spray paint them back to looking nice.
That being said these sliders are awesome, I have the same degree of entry on mine, and they work great and allow the kids a step to get in.

Well I have been having these rims and tires in the garage since September and finally got around to mounting them up. The rims came from a co-worker who was putting a set of Tundra "Platinum Edition" rims on his truck. He asked me if I wanted the Rock Warriors for 200 bucks for which I immediately screamed yes (thats 200 for all 4, not a piece). The tires are Nitto Ridge Grapplers. Thanks to @92LXAZ for supplying the set of spacers he was offloading so I could fit these rims on my truck.

Sorry for the crappy work parking lot pic, but I put the rims on last night in the dark. I painted the silver lips flat black. Now it is time to finish installing the Total Chaos UCAs, 1"spacers in the rear, and Iron Man Pro shocks I have sitting in a pile on the garage floor where these use to be.
